ok I know I sound old but....
when did people stop being responsible for their actions????:eek:

Well that happened when people were told your environment was to blame not you and that they could project their actions onto others. Because of uni students staying in school longer we title them as kids with child like responsibility. I have no idea how someone in their mid 20's can be classified as a kid considering we were sending young men and women off to war at the age of 19.

So yep you are old in that manner in that you expect people to be responsible for their actions. And even though we believe we are a more clever society, the rich still get away with anything and get access to the best health care.

Afternoon all,

Hope all the 50's and over have had a good start to the new year.

Here is Aussie land we have our fire season and this year is it worse than normal. It seems the reporting of these fires has misled some people OS in to thinking that the fire is everywhere. So lets puts that rumour to bed. The fires are localized so a vast majority of the country is not under fire threats. Cities on the east coast are being impacted by smoke from fires on the east coast, however it's not a threat to anyone in the cities. Most regional areas of the country are fine.

Hope that helps to clear up the confusion.

I just turned 58 so whilst I am retired these days, yep I'm still paying tax. Have to wait a few more years before I qualify as a Senior. Don't get much even then, but can apply for a Seniors Card so can get discounts on some stuff.

Hope you all have a good week.

57 here .. most days I don't feel and certainly don't act like I am 57 though ..

Good morning all!

To alleviate server load, we're closing down any threads with over 5,000 posts. You are free to continue topics as new threads. Should you do so, please PM me with a link to both the old and new threads, and I will place a link in the closing post so that others who follow closed threads will be able to find the new ones.

As annoying as this may be, phasing out all or most of the active super-long/never-ending threads will increase the forum speed substantially. If you see a thread that's active with more than 5,000 posts, please feel free to PM me with the link.

Please note that these threads are not being removed - just closed to new posts.

Thank you for your patience and kind understanding!
