So, the United States House of Representatives impeached Trump for attempted extortion. It's quite clear to impartial observers that Trump broke the law when he unilaterally decided to withhold congressionally appropriated money to Ukraine.

However, Senate Republicans acquitted Trump, even with some members admitting they thought Trump was guilty of what the House accused him. Sen. Susan Collins of Maine said it was enough that Trump had learned his lesson and that he wouldn't take similar actions.

However, Trump clearly has not learned his lesson, as he is now trying to stop New York from investigating him by punishing residents of the state.

New York is currently investigating Trump on a number of issues, including whether the Trump Organization falsified business records, inflated financial assets, and whether Trump and his family broke tax law.

Trump attempted extortion against the national government of the Ukraine. Now he's attempting extortion against the state of New York.

Collins claims that Trump has "learned his lesson", but now Trump is committing the same crime as before (extortion) openly and in broad daylight.

Nope. He was not impeached for attempted extortion. That can be filed as either a felony or a misdemeanor. The President was not impeached for any statutory crimes.

House Democrats impeached Trump. It's obvious that extortion is a crime but no statutory violation was included in the articles of impeachment. It's quite clear impartiality does not exist. If Trump broke any laws they needed to be included in the articles of impeachment. The pausing of any congressionally appropriated funds is well within the purview of the executive branch.

Maybe you should educate yourself about FISA... which is controlled ONLY by the legislative and judicial branches of the federal government... not the executive branch, so Obama did not have anything to do with it. FISA was created and signed into law by Carter after Nixon illegally spied on private U.S. citizens and others (e.g. John Lennon). FISA activities are specifically kept from the executive branch for this reason. So it was a REPUBLICAN congress which approved the FISA warrants to investigate la douche bag trump's criminal activities with Russia to influence the 2016 election.

He was also impeached for obstructing congress... which he did by keeping others from testifying after they had been lawfully subpoenaed. If you're going to try to tell me the subpoenas weren't lawful, please tell all of us who or what gets to decide that... hint... trump and barr do not... doing so is what we call, by definition, trampling the Constitution.
