If I have to be honest, probably not.
That's not to say I have anything against trans women.
I've honestly never met one (or if I did, I couldn't tell).
As with any new experience, I'd be unsure of it.
I think the right one could probably convince me to play with them,
Pre-op, maybe, post op almost certainly, and as far as hanging
out with them and going places with one, sure, why not?

As far as an actual loving relationship, however, I don't think so.
At my age, I'm still thinking about and wanting to be married with children.
That's just not possible with a trans woman.
No matter how natural she looks, how much the whole world believes
she is and treats her as a woman, there's one thing a trans woman
just cannot do, and that's become pregnant, even a post-op one.
Let's pretend for a moment I managed to fall in love with and start dating
a trans woman. At a certain point, my goals and desires
for marriage and children becomes a barrier to move forward.

I guess long story short, I'm sure one could be fun to be with for a while, but it couldn't last.

Then again, it's a mute point considering my chances with a trans woman wouldn't be any better than my chances with a natural born woman.

Short answer; yes.

Long answer; I'm married and thus not in the dating market per se; but if the stars were to align for us to have a trans friend worth benefits; absolutely.

If I were single again, I'd be open to trans women also. I already have children and don't want more, so that's not a concern.

Play partners? I would be open to part time, genderfluid, or other identities under the trans umbrella, but relationship wise. I'd want someone who identifies as a woman all the time. I'd like to think that pre or post op doesn't matter.

The initial question was: Would you date a trans-woman? To that, I answer with a most definite, yes.

As for Kate seeking more clarification, there is a distinction to be made between dating and having sex. Sure one can have sex with another man. But to date the person, that is a whole other concept.

First, I want to clarify; Trans-Woman to me could be either a transgender, transvestite, or transsexual. These do have some individual differences.

That said, I can say yes. But I am maybe a little different than most males. I don't experience "attraction" by just appearance. I'm either attracted or not by personality, compatibility, kindness, etc. Personally, I am more sexually aroused by any of the "trans" women who have not felt the need to undergo the physical surgeries that some others inner voice demanded. However, that would not exclude falling for a post-op transgender girl.

So basically, as a bi-male, I could fall in love with just about anyone I connect with on that deeper level. (P.S. I know that's somewhat unusual )

Great question, great responses. And yes, I would indeed. As others have said much more eloquently its about attraction not status or label. As a regular cross dresser and occasional transformed tv I am well aware that there is a lot of negativity. I have met and dressed with a number of tgirls and a couple of real girls and in each case the attraction has been a mix of mental and physical, a lust for life and fun combined with a form that, to me, was attractive.
