So, I've had four Anons comment on my latest chapter within minutes of each other, all within the past hour or so. They show up in my author page feed, but nothing on the story page proper. Anyone else have that problem?

Maybe while they're still in "moderation" they can show up on your author page but not the story?

That would be new. When I reply to a comment, it's only visible on my feed when it's also visible on the story page. You could try and check the last page of "Mud & Magic 11" (linked below) if anything shows up for you. Maybe it's simply a hiccup at my end.

I've noticed some lag between comments appearing on the story page after showing up on the author page. Just a lag, though. It typically doesn't take long for the comments to populate on the story page.

Yep, happening right now. Comment 38 minutes ago shows on the story and the author activity panel but not in the author's comment management system (was that clear?) I've seen them take hours for the system to catch up.

Worse, the site deleted a comment that I had responded to and I had no problem with. I had to re-comment to explain a response to a comment that doesn't exist now!

Ah, good to know. I'll keep my feet still then. Thanks!

I just checked and see four comments all timed for "about 2 hours ago."
I guess it was just the lag thing...

Yup, looks like. Hm. Seems like I ruffled some feathers along the way. It's not every day one person calls a particular series of events "moronic" and another the same part "amazing and tragic."

Unless it's in LW and then it's normal. :D

When you post a comment it goes into a queue that Laurel then has to scan, once she scans them they get posted. Usually two or six times a day. :D

Should I have used rolling eyes or wink instead of the smilie face?

Sorry, the shock of that statement overcame my WTF impulse center
Rolling eyes or winks are much better for communicating around old farts
Even waving handkerchiefs or smoke signals. Little rusty on semaphore though. ;)

Well then... there is only one thing to do. :caning:

That’s happened to me sometimes. A little weird but nothing you can do about it.

I enjoy it on Facebook when you find some moron deliberately creating an argument with you where none exists. After a few exchanges I delete all my comments leaving a list of comments by them that make no sense. I know it’s childish but it amuses me.
