Yeah, I share her sentiments. However, if it had been written on softer paper, it could have been used for a practical purpose in a House toilet stall.

After all, you've got to find some appropriate use for that speech.
 
it was on; i was playing bejewelled 3 with the volume full up and headphones on since i just couldn't look or listen to the man. then i took myself into the bedroom with a book and came back out for coffee to find it was no longer onscreen. no matter how a scriptwriter might make his words seem presidential, his voice, his mannerisms, his history as an out and out liar, his tweetage? nah. just. couldn't. do it.

I'm totally with you. Trump is nothing like any other president in my lifetime and it's about goddamned time. :)

That's your problem, willfully blinded by your hate you're immune to the truth. Be sure to tune into CNN tomorrow morning for their biased talking points so you'll know what to say about it all.
 
ALL politicians are assholes. They are too immature to adhere to the principal that two wrongs do not make a right. The President should have exhibited respect for the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Madame Speaker should not have childishly torn up the speech. If possible, the Speaker appeared more petty than the President. It doesn't matter, they were both wrong. These people are not worthy of the offices they hold. I wish they could be persuaded to behave better.

No intelligent person needs any help seeing through a speech like that. State of the Union addresses from both parties have become as stale as the Academy Awards ceremonies. Last night's was no exception, heavily scripted, theatrical, and full of self-aggrandizement and tokenism.
