Hello.
English isn't my native language.
I recently was on the search for an artist to do a voiceover for one of my erotic stories. And one of the artists brought two things to my attention:
1) No one over age of 12 says "pee hole". They called referring to it like that weird. Especially in a sexual situation.
2) You want to use "ass hole" not "butt hole" unless you want to sound like a kid.
See, I've been writing for several years now, and no one mentioned that. On the second count I go either ways depending on the situation. On the first count however - I was under the impression that "pee hole" is a widely accepted descriptive for both men and women.
So, someone who's a language carrier - could you help me with those terms?
How would you call "pee hole" in a sexual situation? Urethra seems medical and unsexy to me.
And what about "butt hole" does it really sound bad? You see, I sometimes don't like to use "ass hole" because it is too close to "asshole" in my mind, and well... "He fucked my asshole" sometimes brings strange associations to my mind. Maybe I should stop paying attention to it and always use "ass hole"? I am also aware that Brits use the word "Arse" and that "Ass" is a donkey.
Are there some cultural things that I'm missing?
