I am currently writing a story. In it the girl looses her virginity....
That's the problem. Not being a girl, I don't know what it's like (I can just about remember loosing mine), but I want to be accurate so I'm looking for some feedback from women.

it's very intimate

How would you know? It says right below your name that you're a virgin. :D

That joke won't make sense if someone finds this thread in the archives, and Nyandor has moved on to one of the other usage classifications.

As long as you avoid all the usual/common mistakes in erotica (women getting super wet/turned on with no foreplay or reason, woman having a crazy orgasm from solely being penetrated for 10 seconds, etc.), I’m sure you’ll be fine.

First-times are still just regular sex. The thing that makes first-time stories different from normal erotic stories is how the character feels about losing their virginity, and how they feel during their first time. Is she nervous? Excited? Is she having a hard time relaxing? What are her expectations - for it to hurt? For it to be super sweet and romantic? Are those expectations met, and how does she feel about it?

A story that describes these things going through the main character’s head as she is losing her virginity would read the most realistic to me. If your aim is truly to be realistic, that is. :)

. . ..

Mere virginity is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;

. . ..

From the well-known Yeats poem, "First Coming"

First, I hate the phase "Loosing my virginity"; but since you asked an honest question, I did the obvious and searched for some descriptions. Here's one link to several descriptions of the event. How It Feels To Loose Your Virginity

As one might expect, it varies among individuals.

But, back to my pet peeve; Outside of rape, or forced coerced; It seems more of a 'giving my virginity' in most cases.

Not to grammar police, but wouldn't it be losing one's virginity?

You set a bird loose. Your belt is loose. Your mouth is loose. But you lose your virginity.

Umm, yes. Some of us have been playing with that. Others apparently didn't "get" it.

Thanks
StellaTaylor. Yes I do want it to be as realistic as possible. I'll bear in mind your comments.

yukonnights. Please be assured my story is purely consensual. I'm a romantic at heart and don't find anything erotic about rape/non conn. I've had a quick look at the link and I did already search myself.

I didn't lose mine--I gave it away. :D

Every woman is different. For some, the first time is scary and painful. For others, meh. Still others enjoy themselves thoroughly. A lot depends on what she's been led to expect from the experience, and even more depends on whether her partner has any idea what he or she is doing. Another thing to consider is how she feels about her body. Some people are ashamed of their looks or perceived smells to the point that they can't enjoy the experience for fear of being judged or rejected. Others enjoy sharing their whole selves with their partners. And so on.

It comes down to who your character really is. One size doesn't fit all, so to speak. Loosely.

“I never lost my virginity/I know exactly where I put it.”

-Trash Can Sinatras

I lost mine. Woke up one morning and damn if I couldn't find it anywhere...
Did you look under the mattress? Or maybe it fell into your bedside table's bottom drawer? If you lok cloosely, you might find it.

I'm sure there are clever people with small hammers who could refit it for you. Just remember to get it tightened up, so it doesn't slip out again ;).

It's different for everyone. These days many females had their hymens broken in gym class or some such thing. If that's the case, she might not have pain. But it all depends on how much she knows about sex and how much her partner knows. She might feel scared. She might not. If things are rushed and she isn't wet, it could be uncomfortable. She might not have an orgasm. Things could be awkward. Really just depends.

If her virginity is loose I'd say there's an unscrewed nut lying around somewhere. Nothing that a meticulous inspection and the right tool for the job can't take care of.

Just have to make sure that whoever’s working on it doesn’t cock the job up.

As for the OP, I shall modestly mention that a good few of the First Time Hall of Fame top 50 are mine, and loss of virginity features somewhat prominently. Rather than getting into detail here, which would take me waaaaaay to long, go skim thru a few of my First Time stories and look for the “owww.... owwww fuck .... oh god.. do me harder.....” scenes of rapturous ecstasy and enjoyment. They are fiction, and written for a Literotica audience, and therefore not entirely realistic, but I am ....(blushes modestly).... good at losing my virginity, having done it many times fictionally speaking.... (only once in real life, no pain at all - probably all that Taekwondo - but the first thing I said back then, after he was finished, was, very eagerly, “can we do it again....” Fortunately, and rather blissfully, he could.

How to loose your virginity from the Sex Manual for Virgins, part 1, section 2a.

1. Insert the tapered end of a long hard object like a carrot. Put cooking oil or a condom on it first.

2. Keep pushing until you feel a pinch. If you don't feel a pinch keep pushing. until it won't go any further.

3. Wait 24 hours. Insert something larger like a cucumber and put cooking oil or a condom on it. Insert as far as it will go.

You are now ready to lose your virginity, loosely speaking.
