I'd like someone to give me feedback on my stories*. I'm talking basic first reader type stuff: "This part was crap," "that character was fun to read" "that bit was confusing," "your plot twist was too obvious," etc. I don't even know the term for it. Is this done here?

* The stories aren't yet ready for feedback, this is me planning ahead for once

Doubt you'll get much response until you identify what genre(s) you're writing in.

Sorry if I was unclear. I'm not asking for someone to give feedback yet (it's not ready), I'm asking if it's a thing that's done around here, and what kinds of expectations there are.

The story would be Erotic Couplings with a bit of Sci-Fi and First Time.

It's unclear what you are asking for - on these forums feedback and editor input are two different things. You might in fact be asking for a beta reader, which is a slightly different form of input (less technical editing, more "this is what a reader might think").

If you want input before submission = Editors' Forum.
If you want feedback after publication = Feedback Forum.

I see that your new story is in the Transgender/CD category. My suggestion for finding a beta-reader is to find authors who write stories you enjoy. Let them know you like their work, and ask if they'd be interested in maybe sharing proofreading efforts.

You're just looking for feedback, not editing from the sound of it. Just make a buddy or three, etc. I've touched on Trans/CD before, but I'm not in-tune with Sci-Fi. But I'm sure someone is.
