Critics of President Trump’s bold action in Iraq this week were schooled by retired General David Petraeus yesterday.

General Petraeus, who served as President Obama’s CIA Director, and before that held assignments including Commander of US Forces in Afghanistan, US Central Command, and Commanding General of the Multinational Force in Iraq, called Trump’s action “more significant than the killing of Osama bin Laden.”

Well done Mr. President! 🇺🇸

Trumpski's bumblefucking in the Mid East is not good!

Trump may have already sparked a wildfire in the Middle East

Just as we were suddenly supposedly withdrawing all U.S. troops from the region, we’re sending thousands more.

Everywhere we look, the fundamental questions seemed widespread and the same: While taking out Suleimani has been a longtime goal, are Americans, in fact, safer today?

Is there a strategy here? Or did Trump just act without thinking through the effects? Does this move us any closer to a renegotiation to end Iran’s nuclear weapons development?

Dog Wagging is a fool's game!

JackLuis writes: "Trumpski's bumblefucking in the Mid East is not good!"

And HOW is it "not good" for the U.S. military to take down a dangerous terrorist killer like Iran's General Qassem Soleimani, Jack?

WHY does this America-hating Iranian general suddenly have so many fans among America's liberal-progressive Democratic Party?

I don't remember the left howling in outrage when Barack Obama ordered the Navy Seals to kill Osama bin Laden, despite the fact that Islamic terrorists loved that guy! Yes for some odd reason the modern-politically-progressive left ADMIRES IRAN now?

Iran has been asking for this for a LONG TIME now - with their Ayatollah Khomanie even taunting Trump last week: "You can do NOTHING?" Well, NOW he knows that's not true!

Meanwhile, the Iranian government's message to America's Democratic Party seems to be: "How was this even possible? I thought you guys IMPEACHED him!"

It's time to stop playing these games in the Middle East, we either get out and let them take over the world. Or we stop them from mass killing and making a nuclear bomb. These people don't want to sit down and talk, and make total peace with the rest of the world.

Petraeus was clueless on intelligence (or diplomatic) operations (which is why he finally was ousted at the CIA). He's totally of a military operations mind-set. And, as a military operation, the taking out of Suleiman was an excellent job. It's just that a military operation isn't all that's involved (or even close to all that's involved) in taking out Iran's number two leader on Iraqi soil without consultation with either one's allies or all responsible facets of your own government--especially on the order of an idiot, planless, impeached, flip-flopping, congenital lying president.

Taking out the General was not smart because there is no telling who will take his place or how aggressively the Iranians will take their revenge. They have plenty of clear targets in the Mid East, but the easiest will be in Washington DC! The softest target and the most damage to Trumpski's plans for the future would prob be Bill Barr, or Moscow Mitch!

Reliable target sets are a perishable commodity, you take them when the opportunity exist. Taking out Soleimani at this precise time did two things 1. It refuted the comment made by Khamenei that there was nothing we could do about 'IT', and then we did 2. We took him out in Iraq and not Iran, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!, we expended a little capital with the Iraqi parliament, but they still require "TECHNICAL AND TACTICAL SUPPORT" in fighting ISIS. If it wasn't for Israel being an ally we should exit the ME and let the fucking place burn to the ground.

No no! You've all got it wrong! Trump was - sigh, as USUAL - taking orders from his boss in the Kremlin, Putin. Because, as we all know, he COLLUDES with the Soviets and with KOMM'NISTS, a-and, a-and, he he, he's been impeached. He's already been impeached. IMPEACHED!!

By Maxine Waters!! I mean. Come on! How can we just stand by and let him get away with this??!!

F*. He even blocked that hundred billion that the greatest orator and President of all time Barack HUSSEIN Obama (PBUH) was giving to the poor, friendly, peace-loving MUSLIMS in that Persian country they liberated from the Farsees and reverted them all voluntarily to freedom-loving, peace-loving abdullism.

Come on!!!

What's wrong with you guys??!

Especially you, Keith - come on. Wouldn't you love the feel of a nice Mullah's rope around your neck as they tossed you off a bridge for being gay?

Now as a direct result of Trump’s reckless actions, the Iraqi government is kicking all U.S. troops out of Iraq and Iran will no longer abide by the anti-nuclear deal.

So much winning!!

So, let me get this straight: You, Mr. Luis, would let fear of Iranian international terrorism deter the USA from taking out the people who perpetrate Iranian international terrorism?

That would be like fear of war with Nazi Germany detering France and England from opposing remilitarization of the Rhineland, the Anschluss, and conquest of Czechoslovakia. Oh. That's right. That happened and led to an even bigger war.

You need to understand deterrence, Jack.

What are you willing to sacrifice for the illusion of peace, Jack, and what will it ultimately cost?

Julian Reichelt, the editor-in-chief of best-selling German newspaper Bild, on Friday authored a barn-burning commentary praising US President Donald Trump for authorizing a military strike to eliminate Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

"President Trump has freed the world of a monster whose aim in life was an atomic cloud over Tel Aviv. Trump has acted in self-defense – the self-defense of the US and all peace-loving people," wrote Reichelt....

The commentary singled out Soleimani’s scorched-earth campaign in the Syrian war: "A world in which entire cities are wiped out – like Aleppo. In which bloodthirsty militia go from door to door and execute civilians."

Reichelt noted the potential of Iran’s regime to carry out terrorism in Germany and Israel, "in which the kindergartens in Germany could burn up in fireballs at any time because its children are Jewish. In which Israel is under threat of extinction every day....

"His violent and overdue end will not stop global terrorism, but the image of his burnt-out car still sends out a powerful message. US President Donald Trump has made it clear that the worst figures in the world, however big-mouthed and ruthless they may be, cannot hide from America’s strength."

B. Weinthal, Soleimani was a monster, wanted atomic cloud over Tel Aviv - German newspaper, Jerusalem Post (Jan. 4, 2020).

You lost me at Petraeus!

You have no clue as to what will happen next.

It does seem like history is repeating itself. The world taking a pacifist stance, shrinking from evil when strength is needed. Their own self preservation is at stake, and still, after all of what history teaches us they run and hide from evil rather than face it. History teaches us that these dictatorial and evil people never go away after appeasement, they just return with a vengeance, there is no such thing as peace through weakness.

It's a disease called "liberalism", though it isn't liberal at all.

There's never a good time to take out a terrorist, but rest assured, if you don't! they will take you out. Good point, to fear taking out a terrorist because they terrorize you =/= pacifist... it = cowardice. Iran's terrorist leadership now know that if they're found in other countries they're fair game. Those future junior terrorist can take delight with the fact that the promotion conveyor is on full speed ahead.

If you can’t take away one gun from a potential mass-murdering American, you have no excuse for supporting preventive military actions.

I must say, this is novel argument in favor of appeasement. Never heard this one before.

phrodeau suggests: "If you can’t take away one gun from a potential mass-murdering American, you have no excuse for supporting preventive military actions."

I know what you're saying, phrodeau - those stupid "Gun-Free Zone" signs have NEVER stopped a single "potential mass murderer" from killing innocent Americans, not ever - every law-abiding American should own and/or carry a gun!

BabyBoomer50s writes: "I must say, this is novel argument in favor of appeasement. Never heard this one before."

If former British Prime Minister Neville "peace in our time" Chamberlain were alive & well and living in the United States today, he'd be supporting the Democratic Party position that shipping-off billions of dollars to Iran was the right thing to do, and the way to keep the peace.

This IGNORES reality, of course, but that's what modern Democrats do! As bad as Adolf Hitler was, the Nazi Germans NEVER attacked our embassy in Berlin or held our embassy personnel hostage. And after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, police in Washington, D.C. actually PROTECTED Japan's embassy there, because that's what civilized nations DO!

In November of 1979, the Iranian mullahs authorized an attack on America's embassy in Tehran, and then held 52 U.S. embassy personnel hostage for 444-days! That was an act of WAR! You DON'T trust an Islamic theocratic government that does that kind of bullsh*t with a nuclear deal, NOR do you secretly ship-off billions of dollars in cash to them (see: Barack Obama)!

Desiremakesmeweak writes: "I love it, personally. Shoot-outs everywhere. The gold price loves it too."

Hollywood actress Rose McGowan certainly doesn't love it - she's apologized to the America-hating mullahs of Iran and even begged them not to hurt her!
