How do you update a submitted story?

Hi guys-

I've recently submitted my first story here, and I realize that the sex scene is a little thin. Limp maybe? Dry? Anyway, it's not sexy enough.

Is there any way to update a story after I've submitted it? It hasn't been posted yet.

Just open it up from your submission list. That will remove it from the queue. Edit to your heart's content, then resubmit.

If you don't catch it before it goes live, you can update the content by submitting a new story with the exact same title plus the word EDIT, add a note to the editor, and resubmit the whole story with your new content. Edits submitted after a story goes live are processed with a low priority (usually four or five days longer than usual), so if you're timing is wrong, readers will see the first version and react to that.
