Day something or other of the Christmas break. Isn't it the way that you can tell the exact day and date in the 20 odd days before hand, but the 6 days between Christmas and New Year is a vacuous blur. And summer laziness.
I have been busy though, between lazing at the beach and lazing around the pool. I have baked. And made a huge amount of apricot jam as I came across an orchard with crates outside the gate and a tin to throw some money in for them.
And cheeky offspring. If you have time to snap mum's g-string tail and whatsapp it to her while she is running around picking up around the house, you clearly don't have enough tasks.

Heading out, and the girls have had to go back into restraint for the first time since Christmas. A touch tight on the boobs. I could claim its big boobs days but probably wouldn't account for christmas pudding...

They tend to be. Mid summer here and most companies don't go back to work until after the 7th. So Christmas to the 7th is often not knowing what day of the week it is.

In a concerted effort to not flash my boobs or bum tonight, you will have to endure me posting some of the early cooking as a differential to the colder climates.
The young lot have decamped down to the far end of the yard to have their dodgy carnivore's delight. Someone came in directly from the farm and brought supplies which supposedly is better than my stuff. That bbq has a habit of gas hiccuping so good luck to them not singeing some sort of body hair off. Note them cooking with and drinking Bush Chook, a clear sign of questionable taste.

The more sensible crowd has been throwing toppings on pizzas and putting them in the pizza oven.

Next to go in will be some eggplant parmigiana

Hubby is firing up on the hotplate table and making Japanese okonomiyaki. He quite likes to hold court there with a circle of people around there while he cuts things up and serves it to them in front of them. You just pick it off the hotplate.

We will see if boobs pop out later after dark.

Yes, they generally do most of the cooking and then it finishes off in front of you while you are eating it. The teppan tables are great. It's all shared food so you just sit around it and dive in with chopsticks when you want something
