Generic rejection jading me on my own story.

I have a story that I really think is good, and I think the subject matter it will actually help destigmatize the perception of a very real life issue my lead characters are forced to deal with upon meeting each other, as well as be a good read for the literotica readers. :) I have extensively reread, edited, and re submitted it. It's my very first submission to literotica and I've been working in it for awhile, it took a lot of convincing on my own part to finally share it. But, now that I've had to continue to go over the same submission over and over, which yes I realize that MANY authors have had to do the same, I'm finding it hard to continue the rest of the story and develop it to completion because I'm jaded on it. If the rejection would state WHY it's been rejected rather than the generic form, maybe I could fix whatever the issue is and move on with it, before I lose all progress and desire to finish.
Yes, I'm ranting and angry over an issue I know many more than just myself have had, and they've continued their work and eventually were published. (I hope!) Can anyone else who has had this predicament offer any solution or idea that has worked for them to finally quit getting a generic letter telling them to spellcheck? I've had 2 others proof read it for me and they see no spelling errors or any off putting grammar or punctuation issues. I've seen many sloppy, short submissions on literotica that even the comments agree are trainwreck, yet they're published!

Thank you for letting me rant, hopefully now that I've blown off steam I can continue the story I've worked hard on and just want to share.

Hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend!

The gb probably isn't the best place to ask. Maybe in the author's hangout? Ask if anyone there would be willing to read your story and give you some feedback.

There's also a story feedback forum, and an editor's hangout.

Read a bit on those boards and it'll help you figure out where to ask for help.

What was the statement about rejection?

Right. The OP gives even less information on the nature of the rejection than the submissions editor would have done, even using a generic notice. Hope when the OP finds a better board to post the question on, more information will be given. No one on the board can help until/unless it is.

Some rejections are very easy to fix; others not so. I have been rejected more than once but each time it took me less than an hour to revise the story to meet the objection.

Most times one of my stories has been rejected it finally went through with no changes at all.

Thank you for the help! I'll keep trying! And will try other boards.
And to the negative commenters, you're too cute compensating like you are. :cattail: Charmed, I'm sure!

What's this? Dolf was ... nice? OMG! OMG! I'll have what she's having ... unless it's cock, and then I'll order something else.

So that's a no to the tits I take it?

Of course im nice! This is someone upset about their art, not some mouth breather after legs to hump.

I'm a sweet and lovely person

I always knew Harley Quinn was going to be popular. Even though her first episode appearance on Batman - The Animated Series wasn't particularly remarkable, you could tell the potential for her character was huge. Was watching the afternoon it premiered.

No matter what else might be said of him, RoryN definitely has his 5th grade comic book shit down.
