███████████ Impeachment Proceedings On Donald Trump ███████████

Man. You're probably a bright, nice person, but you are so insufferable. I'm NOT a "Trumpette" and I've told you a million times. I'm begging the Democrats to give me an alternative. I keep trying to learn more about Tulsi Gabbard. Pete Buttigieg is too liberal and his bona fides are not good. I think the Electoral College is very important and my opinion would not change whether it favored Democrats or Republicans. The Electoral College is good.

Yeah, you've told me a million times you're not a Trumpette (actually, I don't remember you telling me at all). I know, I know, someone steals your account and posts all of the Trumpette nonsense without you being able to let your "true self" shine through. :D

Let's put aside the inappropriate attempt to co-opt the pejorative, "snowflake", as it is only properly assigned to liberals. So President Trump will be impeached, acquitted in the Senate, and go on to re-election by the American people to a second term. Can you fully comprehend the magnitude of that smackdown? That would be like five times worse than Mr. Trump beating Mrs. Clinton. Impeaching a President is such an existential threat to our country in the sense it introduces the potential reversal of the voter's choice. I don't think the majority of voters want the President removed. This has the optics of a Democrat temper tantrum I think the Democrats should try to find a candidate who could successfully oppose the President. They have one who might have a chance, but she is not weird enough for them. Elizabeth Warren is batshit crazy. Bernie is a communist and Biden is senile. It's not good. They should look for another Bill Clinton, except one who could keep his snake in its cage.

The Democratic leadership and most Democrats do not agree with your simplistic assessment that impeachment in this case will be interpreted solely as a temper tantrum. This is a case where the political consequences are not known, but the consequences of inaction were certain. Leave Trump alone and he will continue to do whatever the hell he wants to do.

Democrats will continue to hold Trump accountable for soliciting foreign interference in our next election, even after this impeachment. If the Republicans whine about that, they will continue to be labelled as "snowflakes". There is no copyright on that term.

With regard to who the Democrats nominate, that is done during the primary process. Donate to and vote for the candidate of your choice.

If that's the case he would have had his wall a long time ago.

None of your arguments ever hold water, you suffer from TDS on steroids, you should get a room with KeithD and compare meds. :D

You poor thing, whining about TDS and ignoring the substance of my argument. Deplorable tears are so delicious.

Congress is the only thing holding Trump back from getting the funding for his wall, and Congress is the only thing holding Trump back from freely soliciting foreign help in the next election.

Thanks for reinforcing my arguments.

Soliciting foreign help  TOO FUNNY!!! :D

I think you're confusing congress with democrats ( Nancy and Chucky boy ) are holding back border security ( too busy with impeachment ) See!! no substance! :D

The majority of voters didn't want him in the office in the first place.

This concept has been explained to you in the past. While knowing that it is difficult for you to do so, please do your best to try to keep up with the rest of the class from now on.

Thanks for backing up my case. Hillary got 3 million more votes than Trump. Other people voted for Bernie which meant those people, as well as others voting for Micky Mouse and all the other voters who didn't vote Trump, also didn't want Trump to be president. Trump won by a slim electoral college margin of 80,000 votes.

Ergo, counselor, the majority of voters didn't want him in the office in the first place.

Do try to improve your reading comprehension and critical thinking skills before raising your hand in class again.

Meaningless, the states elect the President.

The LIE has been oft told. WE KNOW what you intended to mean when you repeated the LIE.

Attempting now to dodge that by parsing your own words only punctuates it.

I’m not parsing anything. You’re still having trouble with reading comprehension, I can only hope you’re better with math.

Would you agree that over 50% of voters represents a majority? The math says more than 50% of voters voted against Trump. My original statement is accurate.

Yes, and this only comes up with some dumb Trumpette has asserted that the majority support Trump--or ever did. When their lie is pointed out, they revert to him being president. Yes, the Russians helped him get the job as a minority-support president. That doesn't change their original "the majority support him" lie. They don't. We're in yet another tricky scheme Republican tyranny of the minority regime.

I did some cypherin' a while back and figured that OrangeBoi only got something like 30% of the possible vote and around 20% of all adults in the US.

I know. You're not on point here.

My point was he won the election by a very good majority of electoral votes, negating the entire need for a recitation of the popular vote margin which in and of itself is pointless.;)

Well, the whole point of this exercise is to point out that while Trump won by the slimmest of margins (80,000 votes), the majority of actual people in the US did not want him to be president as evidenced by over 50% of them voting for someone else. So, not pointless for this discussion.

The electoral college is a disaster for democracy.

US Population in July '16 was stated at around 323 million. Der Duhnald got just under 63 million votes. Hardly a majority.

They’ll probably claim a win on a technicality since I said majority of people instead of majority of voters. :)

Bullshit. The Electoral College has, more than once and the last time in 2016, been the one to "introduce" the reversal of the voter's choice.

The EC hasn't reversed anything, we aren't a unitary state, take a remedial US government class.

Too bad that doesn't mean shit. :D

I think he meant the EC Elector is able to vote against the popular vote to which they have pledged, if they decide too.

Too bad that doesn't mean shit. :D

Fun to point out the truth though. :D

The majority of the people in the United States didn't even go to the polls in 2016.
