House Impeachment Hearings

It's not his fault that you're stuck on stupid with that insult.

What a great line for a song...

It's not my fault that you are stuck on stupid
So blind to the obvious, you are no longer lucid

No! it's OK because it's within the law and the president's purview, every president has used his article II powers

No it's not. Bribery and extortion are not legal. They are not outlined presidential powers. It is not legal to invite foreign interference into an election. It is not okay to ask a foreign leader to investigate your political opponent.

That you think it is only proves that you are not thinking straight.

Surely you would not be okay if Obama told a foreign country's leader that aid and meetings were contingent upon launching an investigation into Romney? Most especially done through a back channel by someone that isn't even an employee of the US government and whom the FBI director can't confirm has security clearance. I seriously can't even imagine you would be just fine with that and consider those actions as "presidential purview".

Oh my, it's all starting to come apart for the Deep State and its apparatchiks in the media. One can only imagine the treasure trove of incriminating tidbits the discovery process in the suit will yield.:D

White House official sues Politico for story about his role in Trump's Ukraine dealings
By John Bowden - 11/18/19 04:34 PM EST

An official on the White House's National Security Council (NSC) sued Politico and one of its reporters on Monday over a story claiming the staffer had passed information on Ukraine to President Trump.

Court filings uploaded by Breitbart News reveal that Kashyap Patel, a senior director with the NSC, is suing the news outlet for more than $25 million in damages over a story published earlier in November claiming that Patel had fed the president information on Ukraine that depicted the nation as rife with corruption.

Patel, a former staffer with ranking House Intelligence Committee member Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), denied the claim at the time through the White House press office, which called the story "fake news."

"This case is about Politico’s malicious efforts in 2019 to target and destroy the stellar career and reputation of a dedicated attorney, senior adviser and civil servant. In a series of articles and tweets, Politico, directly and by implication, falsely accused Kash Patel of lying, deceit and unethical conduct," reads Patel's lawsuit.

"Politico intentionally published the false statements in order to undermine Kash’s credibility and impair his ability to serve the United States of America and the President," the lawsuit continued. "Because Politico, [reporter Natasha] Bertrand and [owner Robert] Allbritton acted intentionally and with actual malice, ill-will, spite and an unbridled desire to injure, Kash also seeks an award of punitive damages to punish these Defendants and to deter other so-called 'journalists' from using their pens as swords in a similar way."

I'm sure Politico won't engage in any discovery at all.

First hand knowledge of a domestic political issue discussed during the July 25th phone call.

And, Nunez is suing a parody Twitter account run by his cow. 🙊 What’s your point?

Nunes managed to get through his opening statement without bringing up the question of whether there are nude photos of Trump, so we're already off to a better start today.

Also, kudos to Vindman for pulling off the "I wear civilian clothes in my day job, but I'm going to put on my military uniform for my congressional testimony" maneuver made famous by Oliver North.

Need help? Dial all zeros for Harpy's law practice.

One call, that’s all.

To know he's still in class.

Only if you name the song Dudley. Or maybe that’s the band name.

You all sound REALLY triggered. :D

Hey dribble here's the rest of it:

It's amazing what a well wrought insult can do.
Especially when every word is true.

The gnashing teeth and wails of grief,
Over words that chap their ass.

Set the stage,
For why they rage.

Because they can't,
Keep up in class.

Oh, the irony.

Nunes is still hung up on the identity of the whistleblower, even during the appearance of two witnesses who had firsthand knowledge of the Zelensky phone call (and whose accounts agree with each other and with the whistleblower). If there was still any doubt this is purely about taking revenge, it's now obvious.

Really, they were on the line?

We have the transcript of the call. The two witnesses interviewed today affirmed its accuracy.

Schiff had to jump to the defense of Vindman when he admitted speaking to a member of the intel community about the call. Schiff butted in and prevented Vindman identifying which intelligence agency that person worked for. In doing so Schiff all but revealed the great possibility the person was CIA analyst Eric Ciaramella, the whistleblower.

Really, they were on the line?

I see you've learned a new tap dance step. You're going to be right up there with Fred Astaire once the hearings are done. Damn dude you gunna havta' go into show bidness!
