That was, at least to me, a pretty dumb move by Trump.

As was him releasing the non verbatim transcript of the Ukraine call.

You know what else is dumb? Trump today released a verbatim transcript of his first call with the newly elected President of Ukraine, which clearly shows that Trump lied to the world when he later said this call included a plea by him to root out corruption in Ukraine.

Nothing of the sort was even mentioned. The call consisted of mutual admiration talk and with the new President of Ukraine asking Trump several times to visit Ukraine. Not a word about corruption.

So the dummy used his goon Nunes to provide proof, during the freaking impeachment hearings, that he had been bullshitting about his first conversation with President Zelensky.

There is no way Trump can even begin to keep track of all his lies without a team to track and cover them with some sort of computer application.

How do you know that the "wistleblower" <sic> relied on a transcript of the call?

Trump supporters are wearing shirts that say, "Read the transcript." I would like to, but so far no complete transcript has been published.

Because after they made sure he no longer had White House access they started moving such memorandums to a secure, non State Department computer. The obvious inference is that the audit trail on the State Department computer showed that the "whistleblower" had accessed that memorandum on the two calls that were released. Ergo he was the leaker. Ergo that's why he was dismissed, leaving Vidman as the remaining mole, and frustrated he could no longer access these things to leak. Ergo that's why they are retaliating with the nonsense that started this whole thing.

The memorandum was released in full. There would have been absolutely no reason for them to have fabricated a contemporaneous memorandum that specifically left out areas of concern when they had no obligation whatsoever to release it and had no reason to believe that the call was going to be viewed as problematic much less impeachable, because it wasn't. It would also have required to complicity of career intelligence agents who prepared the memorandum.

You have one and only one person who had any access to that call, during or after who claims that it was anything other than as outlined in the memorandum. That was the hyper-partisan Vidman who has a long history of abusing his access for partisan purposes.

For your iposition to hold any water at all you have to assume that career Intelligence officers whose entire job is to construct such memorandums and who are obviously fluent enough in the languages being spoken to be able to do that somehow conspired with Trump to protect Trump all the while only Vidmans eidetic memory of what he thinks happened on that call that he merely listened in on and took no notes on, are somehow valid. You doubt the actual record of the call but you trust his fabulous memory.

There's a reason why even before recording equipment was available the FBI had 302 forms. They're supposed to be filled out as promptly as reasonably possible in order to preserve one's Recollections of what was discussed as best one possibly can. Eyewitness testimony in this case ear-witness testimony is notoriously unreliable in the sense that people think they heard or think they saw what they expected to see. Combined with his illegal sharing of the contents of that call with the so-called whistleblower and them gossiping and plotting (the day after Mueller fucked your team with honesty) until they worked themselves into a frenzy with the help of Schiff's staff and you now have a game of gossip two stages removed with altered memories or outright fabrications clouded by partisan bias.

Nothing about Vidmin's memory can be reasonably assumed to be more reliable than the memorandum prepared at the time of the call.

Why would you need to? What anyone thought about what was said or remembers having been said is trumped by a contemporaneous record. Thst is the entire point of creating a contemporaneously record, you know, contemporaneously.

Did he not announce the Tweet during the hearing for political gain with out regard to whether or not it might "intimidate" the witness and make her uncomfortable? Why would he do that if he gave a shit about her feelings?
