House Impeachment Hearings

What did the White House staff who have first hand knowledge say in their testimony?

Yes, of course. This. Hey wait. They aren't testifying because Trump is telling them to illegally not show up when subpoenaed. Gee, I wonder why he'd do that. Don't you wonder why he's doing that, Trumpettes? (No, I guess that would sort of screw up your program of lies.)

So where's the court order to violate executive privilege? Why aren't they seeking one?

I think he means me. He's just being stupid again. That's all Trumpettes have left now--trying to distract and deflect by being stupid (which they were to begin with by following Trump).

If the Trumpettes want a connection between "illegal" and "refusing a congressional subpoena," they can look into the cases of Susan McDougal and Chelsea Manning, both of whom spent significant time in the slammer for doing so. Manning was kept there by the two-faced man who is Attorney General again, Lying Bill Barr, who has declared that he too will illegally ignore a congressional subpoena when/if he's served one.

Of course, and I spent many years working with the so highly educated they knew absolutely everything there is to know about absolutely nothing. And that is precisely part of the problem.

They start today. Looking at with the Republicans have set up in the room, reading the focus of some postered here, I think of this James Bryce quote someone referenced today:

A bold President who knew himself to be supported by a majority in the country, might be tempted to override the law. He might be a tyrant, not against the masses, but with the masses.

Between appointments I listend to the hearing, it is obvious Shiff is lying about his actions. It is a farce as the Republicans are not allowed to call witness

In he end the House will impeach on a party line bote and the Senate will dismiss

Media such as the Boston Globe will lie on their pages about the hearings

I didn't waste a moment on the antics of a show trial.
Once they have muddied the waters sufficiently,
they are simply going to vote for impeachment.
It will be in partisan lockstep and every bit of
this Passion Play is disingenuous "payback"
for the unexpected loss of 2016.

It is a dagger aimed at everyone
who had the temerity to vote
against Mrs. Inevitable...

It seems the dems haven't quite snapped to the fact that everything they're doing revolves around the Biden's activities in the Ukraine. That being the case, the Biden's have to be cleared of ANY wrong doing before Trump can be convicted. Something the dems are steadfastly ignoring.

Bwahahahaha!

You must have lost your damn mind.

The House does NOT have to try and disprove a debunked conspiracy theory in order to prosecute a thoroughly corrupt President.

Of course you won't watch it.

You're just like the rest of Trump's pathetic sycophants.

"We cannot hold Glorious Leader accountable for anything."

IF you had watched it, you would have seen that it was your precious republicans trying to muddy the waters with unfounded allegations and conspiracy theories.

Nixon tried to prevent his staff responding to Congressional subpoenas. But eventually he had to give in, substantially because his own party insisted Congress had a legal right to issue and have these subpoenas answered.

At this point Trump is trying to out Nixon, Nixon. The only difference is the stance of the GOP under Trump.

But if the subpoenas from Congress are resisted it begs the question 'What is the purpose of Congress at all,' because Trump's GOP is denying them their fundamental oversight function.

The GOP's current tactics are clearly to try and bog down the issue in the courts.

FLASHBACK, 2018: Joe Biden Brags At CFR Meeting About Withholding Aid To Ukraine To Force Firing Of Prosecutor.

Why??

Kent testified that he had concerns about the appearance (to the say the very least) of a convict of interest with Hunter Hunter Biden serving on the board of a corrupt company with his own father heading up all things Ukraine.

When he brought up the subject he was told that Joe Biden was too busy dealing with the death of his other son and the entire thing was dropped. So was that in the best interest of the nation or was that just in the best interest of Joe Biden?

Was dropping it in the best interest of Kent's career? Or was it in the best interest of the nation?

Would we be even having any of these discussions if it weren't for the actions of the Bidens?

Were the Bidens looking after the interests of the nation or were they looking after their own self-interest?

This made no sense last night so I figured I was tired. But I’m wide awake and it still doesn’t, so you’re at least consistent with your previous posts.

This whole thing is about Trump’s behavior, not the Bidens. You know, withholding aid to pressure another country to get dirt on a political opponent under the guise of “investigating corruption.” You guys ignore the fact that Joe and other countries forced Ukraine to fire the prosecutor because he wasn’t investigating corruption, including looking into Burisma...how is that protecting Hunter?

Not sure what you’re talking about that Joe Biden dropped because of the death of his son, but I’m sure it’s an inaccurate example of behavior of personal vs national interest. As in perhaps, Joe had to step back from something in the nations interest to deal with the death of his son, vs Trump using his international power to influence a nation to...well, you know.

You guys are just trying to shift the focus and blame.

No it's not.

This whole thing is part of a non-stop temper tantrum that began in late 2016
when the Democrats were given a spanking they never saw coming
in their overwhelming arrogance and sense of entitlement.

They still have not gotten over those feelings.

First, it was “the whistleblower was just hearsay.”

Now, it’s “we must hear the hearsay from the whistleblower.”
