It's amazing that anyone would even consider doing this. The letter verges on extortion and makes threats against Trump for making political commentary about the issue without actually seeking to discover or actually naming the WB. It also extends those threats to cover the acts of others as if Trump himself did it.

Nor is the letter necessary since the statute only protects the WB from retaliation, not exposure.

Now, I don't know what the standard there is, but I'd be reporting the WB's attorney to the State Bar under an ethics complaint and let them sort out if the letter goes too far or not.

I love how the democrats and their attorneys are quoting a law that doesn't exist. The anonymity of ANY whistle blower is NOT enshrined in any law. What the law DOES protect the whistle blower from is any reprisals on the job. Can't be fired or demoted and he won't be. But his career is certainly at an end, actually it was most likely over when his leaks to the NYT's became known and he was kicked out of the White House. And he won't be reinstated even should a democrat win in 2020 (or 2024 for that matter). He seems to have promoted himself as the final arbiter of US foreign policy and will leak to anyone his dissatisfaction with same. The point here is that no one is going to trust him in the future, he's a pariah.

Promote him to under assistant Chief of Station to the Solomon Island embassy. A real hot bed of international intrigue. :D

Actually, you do. The "it's true" vetting comes at the Inspector General level, not the whistleblower level--and it did come in this case. None of your deflecting nonsense applies here. My goodness you're purposely stupid. But that goes with being a Trumpette. Who do you think you're fooling?

Fairytale minds

The stupidity of Adam Shit and his hoard of swamp creatures has been puzzling to me. Attacking Trump with fluff like the whole Russian thing and how this bullshit only makes Trump stronger in the end. I have wondered why would they be so dumb as to imagine any of this fluff would work in the long run? In the short run they do stir up the emotional left as can be seen by the libtards that vomit up comments on Literotica. But, in the long run more and more people end up seeing that it is all fake. They are setting Trump up for a crushing victory. So why, I ask myself do they keep doing this? I know the motive behind it is fear of going to prison once their crimes come to light. But I mean why this foolish method? I am starting to think that it is because they live in a fairytale. Just as their socialist concepts never work in the real world but always sound good to the fairy people, this fluff attack on Trump seems viable in their fairytale minds.

Years ago I ran the shit I wrote through syntax analysis. Virtually all of the programs instructed me that I should write to the 8th grade level to really reach the "masses." I rebelled against that notion, still do. Surely our citizens can't be that ignorant.

The analysis software was right, they are.
