...shudders at the thought...

I know, right? Ever try rewiring through lath? Took me hours to pass a wire three feet through the tiniest holes they could ever possibly conceive of making. Stupid mouse, fried himself, little fucker, when I turned on the toaster, under the cabinet floor, of course.

I’m not sure how he is able to keep going day after day working on this fixer upper...after just a few hours, I’m exhausted.
I do appreciate it though, the homestead is looking good.

Butchery begins in the AM and sausage making in the afternoon, need to plan a spice mix today.

Steady for the finish....

I've never had to deal with lath and plaster.

My last home was a century one, ended up drywalling over the whole mess. This place isn't mine so pass me some newspaper, cardboard and a bucket 'o Polyfill. :D
This time around I'm taking before, during and after pics just to chronicle my hard work so I think twice before buying a fixer upper again.

that's one big old tree. i think my aches have aches, took most the afternoon just cleaning the brush from the branches of one half, then the s-i-l turns up with his mate and more chainsaws to make pretty quick work of the other half of the topmost branches laying on the ground. not even started on the ginormous thick trunk

we're pooped!

Wallpaper is evil.

Plaster walls are nice. Not sure about over lath board.

Sitting on tennis balls rocks.

Buyers don't give a damn about anyone's hard work.
