Whistleblower

Because that wasn't the question I was responding to.

And no, while I don't support it, I also don't consider hacking the DNC, which considering their security is more like just picking up the garbage they left laying around, to be interfering in an election either.

Hacking the voting machines? Intimidating voters? Bribing/coercing vote counters? For sure. But I didn't see any of that going on.

We’re going to disagree on that wholeheartedly. I will add that the Russians were in our election systems. More comes out about that all the time.

She dodged a barrage of questions about why the state won't say which counties were hacked in 2016, what vulnerabilities her office found during a review of the election systems of all 67 counties, and whether the state would disclose any future breaches or potential breaches to the public.

A month later, they learned that federal investigators told Gov. Ron DeSantis that Russian agents hacked two county election systems in 2016, but he signed a confidentiality agreement and couldn't say which two were infiltrated.

Of course the Republicans at a federal level see no need to protect these systems.

I see that BotanyProudBoy is still whining.

All he does is lie and ascribe positions to people and then cries about ad hominem when you call him a liar.

Too funny. :D

I'm ok with aglo....she actually converses as opposed to a your standard "progressive" who immediately turn to ad hominem when you don't agree with everything they say. Like Zippy, Cowslinger, Rob and BND types.

Those turdz made me disgusted to call myself a democrat simply through the association. After 2016 when (D)'s decided the most radical shift left they could come up with was the appropriate response to Trump?? I was out.

I can deal with/respect social liberals....at least they are still liberal.

I can't be part of socialism and will not participate.

We're long past the time of any civil discourse. YOUR fault.

Funny how most everyone here argues with you... and finally tires.

You're just another gop hack trying to convince everyone you're not.

Hop on the treadmill for a change, fatty.

Of course the Republicans at a federal level see no need to protect these systems.

Why do you just make up shit and then believe your own fantasies are actually real?

NO votes were changed.
NO voter data was altered.

OTOH, MINDS were changed, but that's the nature of campaigning for office, running ads on media platforms, holding rallies, and getting out the vote drives.

And then the bottom line is that the Fed's actually OFFERED to help States and the DNC protect their data systems and were largely rebuffed.

So, again, WHY THE FUCK do you just make up shit and then believe your fantasies are real? Are you an idjit or something?

It is absolutely insane.

Lovecraft was a big fan of "I hate people on this GB so I'm going to go vote for Trump. Rory is an asshole so I'm going to get revenge on him by voting for Trump."

To which we might add "I love Jesus so I'm going to vote for Trump."

They can't even fathom what is wrong with this picture. That's why you vote, right?

QUOTE=zipman;91496723]I know, right?

To him it makes perfect sense which is completely insane. :D[/QUOTE]

We’re going to disagree on that wholeheartedly.

Ok.

So then what role do DNC servers play in our election process??

Last I heard they weren't involved in the election in any way shape or form.

I will add that the Russians were in our election systems. More comes out about that all the time.

https://www.tallahassee.com/story/n...election-security-russian-hacking/4111393002/

I'd be curious to know if it was the Russians as in the state or just hackers from or operating through Russia???

Either way thanks for the link.

Of course the Republicans at a federal level see no need to protect these systems.

That's probably because unlike most Democrats they paid attention in their intro to US History/Government classes and understand what federalism is, how it works in the USA and thus realize that's rather blatantly a state issue, not a federal issue. ;)

Look, these people did not even fucking believe that Trump was actually elected
on Day 1. They are not about to change their belief now. It had to be stolen from them.

These people believe they are the majority of thought.
Nothing anyone can say will ever dissuade them.

They will simply just start talking louder...

I see that BotanyProudBoy is still whining.

Zippy still throwing rocks from a glass house....not at all shocking.

We're long past the time of any civil discourse. YOUR fault.

It's my fault you act like a child towards anyone who doesn't toe the "progressive" narrative? LOL love it. :D

You're just another gop hack trying to convince everyone you're not.

Except I've been a Democrat my whole life until 2016 when they told me I was their enemy and they didn't want my vote anymore because my mom is white and I have a dick. I am STILL a liberal and well to the left of most Republicans.....but hey don't let the facts stop you from that childish behavior you love so much.

Hop on the treadmill for a change, fatty.

LOL says the CHAIRForce princess.....a treadmill?? Those are for soft footed weak sauce losers who've never PT'ed a day in their lives, like you.

Real men get up at 4am, get out in that 17F morning air and run on sand, gravel and unimproved hiking trails, with a 40+lb ruck on their back, like me :)

We do?
You have some proof of that contention?

It was testified to in an open hearing. And Republicans continue to be hacked including the RNC and candidates.

Washington(CNN) Emails from top officials at the National Republican Congressional Committee were hacked during the 2018 midterm elections, Republican sources tell CNN, exposing the GOP's House campaign arm to an intrusion by an "unknown entity."

The attackers could have signed into those officials' accounts as if they were the officials themselves, the source said. To do this, the source said the attackers had obtained the passwords belonging to the officials. The source would not say how the attackers obtained the passwords.

But the hackers –- some of whom are believed to be Russian government employees working regular hours just like other bureaucrats –- have also quietly targeted a broad array of Republicans too as part of the same cyberespionage campaign, say sources.

U.S. officials and cybersecurity experts say Russian government hacking of Republicans serves several purposes in this election cycle.

One is that it provides Moscow with a deep understanding of the internal workings of the campaigns, their plans and objectives and the key players who wield power and influence in Washington even if the GOP doesn’t take the White House.

A more ominous concern is that the information hacked from Republican operatives could be “weaponized” through the strategic leaking of information, either before or after the election.

In June, DCLeaks.com, believed by U.S intelligence to be linked to the Russian government, released hacked emails dating from 2015 of some Republican targets, including staffers for the campaigns of John McCain and Lindsey Graham -- both Putin critics -- and staffers from state parties. One prominent Republican, former Bush administration Secretary of State Colin Powell, had his personal emails hacked and released last month via DCLeaks.com.

I could go on. The RNC was hacked in 2016, but they were older emails the Russians got into.

It makes sense that the Russians would more heavily target Democrats. We all heard Putin admit get wanted Trump to win.

Good morning 🦇💩🤪 I didn’t say what you’re inferring I did. Why are you MAKING stuff up? Perhaps you should have slept in this morning. You’re awfully crabby. :rose:

LOL, yeah, but asides from ALL of that, what evidence do you have? :D

Sweetheart, you claimed that the Russians hacked the election systems.

Are the Republicans the ones complaining, even whining,
that any intrusions affected the election outcome?
or is it only the losers who are whining?

Here's the problem: in order to prove the Russians meddled in the election
in order to defeat Democrats, all that you have demonstrated in that,
in your mind, the Russians meddled with the Republicans...

So, I guess, we don't have free elections because
Democrats lost and Russians meddled.

Without Russian "hacking" the Democrats would have won
even though they hacked everyone, so they are Republicans?

Do you even understand how close they are to the current Democrat platform???
Why the hell would they support Trump and not a comrade?
Do you think Trump is Communist/Socialist?

I'm having problems with that same question, BUT
our fellow citizens here seem to think it was HUGE!

That is not the only instance of them being in our systems, but I’m going to breakfast.

Again, "they" ....from what I've found we can't tell if it was the state or independent hackers.

Likely both.

Seems however from an objective security perspective China is as much of if not a bigger issue than Russia.

Enjoy yoself....I should do the same.

Eating time.

I believe the general consensus is that more damage comes from Russians using media platforms to distort the message coming from candidates or to tarnish candidates, sway public opinion and possibly sway votes from one candidate to another. I don't believe actual vote counts were greatly affected by the Russians. It's been proven that google did more damage to our election than any Russian interference. A PHD who worked as an analyst for Google stated that biased messaging may have affected 7 million votes in 2016.

Actually more damage comes from our own media as they taint everything said with their own inherent political bias.:)

What fucking difference does it make?

There's either a majority population of hopelessly incorrigible idiots who are so stupid they shouldn't be voting in the first place (in which case democracy is ultimately going to fail anyway) or not. That's why the whingers have their panties in a twist.

All the Russkies (or anybody else) could hope to accomplish is that the West arranges itself into a circular firing squad.
