Trump has taken the corruption, criminality, and destruction of the American political system too far. The best outcome is total rejection, conviction on multiple crimes, and incarceration--with multiple associates going with him.

Trump needs to clean up some of the mess he’s made. He could start by picking up trash along Route 73.

What about the best option? Congress drop this BS and get on with the business of fixing all the problems liberalism run amok has caused...…..;)

There should have been a 5th option basically letting trump get on with the job he was elected to do. There's a lot of merit it letting him have another 4 years, apart from the global recession he'd likely kick off I'd enjoy watching him take the USA down the gurgled. Best reality tv ever.

You Trumpettes seem a little bitter tonight. Like it's dawning on you that you're backing a horse that collapsed half-way around the track and you feel the need for some weird reason to still pretend that he's a winner so that you don't look like the played fool you actually have been?

Whether Trump is President or not, we will continue to hear from him near constantly, until the final trump sounds.

Not at all. He certainly has his faults. I just wish the dems had something on their own agenda other than obstructing anything and everything he tries to do. They seem to have no other plan other than promises that can never be kept. At least if they win all 3 branches next election, their ridiculous agenda will be exposed. I can admit Trumps faults. Too bad so many here can't or won't admit how fucked up most of the prominant Dems are....

He's trying to do destructive, inhumane things. Of course anyone with an ethical and moral base is going to try to stop him. Have you just categorized yourself? I think so.

How odd for someone from the "tolerant and broad minded" side of things to see things in such a black and white fashion. Not.

The best way out would be to present an electable candidate that can beat him in the ballot box.

But as bad as Trump is, (D)'s don't have ANYONE better.

There is a teetering pile of bills waiting for the Senate to mark up and vote on, and McConnell’s only excuse for not doing so is that his shoulder hurts.

Yes, obviously Upskirt hasn't bothered to google how many bills the Democratic House has passed out this year (480 the last time I checked) and how many of those the Republican Senate has picked up to work on (20 the last time I checked). It's "wonderful" how misinformed Trumpettes choose to be before lying.

But then we knew you'd be that way from your first posting here. :D

While you're thinking up your next black/white comment, suggest you might want to go google how many bills the Democratic House as sent to the Republican Senate this year and how many of those the Senate has worked on.

I agree with this. Short of resignation (with is so unlikely to be not considered), strategically, long term, it's the only way that can matter. Sure, even then it must be substantial. A narrow, contested result with recounting etc, wouldn't be decisive.

Linked, but different matter is, can (D) afford to wait for elections.

Then, the whole impeachment isn't currently played to convict, but as part of election campaign, and in that sense, how Senate reacts (and it is still expected they won't cooperate, I think) isn't at all that important. I even think it's probably better for (D) if Senate ignore the eventual House articles of impeachment completely than swiftly vote against. Sure in the off chance impeachment results in removal, that's huge victory, at least tactical. So, the process is close to no-loss for (D) currently.

I'm not really in favor of the ballot box answer to Trump. He's doing so much damage to the fabric of the nation that he needs to go yesterday, not next year (and he's pretty much said he won't go even if voted out, so the confrontation is going to be there anyway). Beyond that, he is so corrupt, criminal, and treasonous that he needs to be made a public example of. He needs to be impeached, removed, prosecuted, and incarcerated--and a bunch of his associates need to be in prison as well (in addition to those already there or headed there through the courts).
