But understand, General Mattis, a fine apolitical officer, was never involved in the political decisions involving the deployment of our military, as his job was to carry them them out instead. He claims Senate Majority Leader Moscow Mitch McConnell told him (Trump) that his call to the Ukranian president was "perfect".

In a sign of how quickly things are turning rancid for Trump in Washington DC, McConnell went on the record for the very first time today, stating he "didn't think or at least couldn't recall" making such a claim to Trump.
