Defcon is in Vegas , right after Blackhat in August.

Blackhat has become was more corporate and vendor controlled. Defcon is kinda what Blackhat used to be . I always bring my burner phone to Defcon .

Have you ever been invited to the Radware pool party ? That's always fun.

Defcon is great. The presentations are typically extremely high quality. It is a pretty laid back atmosphere as well. Heck, the first time you present they have you do a shot to welcome you to the group of presenters. They tend to do it on stage even.

But watch yourself, a lot of people play around. I wouldn't bring a system or use any WIFI access points while your there.

They are great. If ever got a chance to actually go i think i would bring electronics that can be wiped and dont have anything interesting on them. Id bring cash too. Heh. Easier that way.

I like it cause its deeply technical and subversive and laid back at the same time.

Isn't the hackers convention DEF CON? The "con" following a space and simply referring to the conference?
