Whistleblower

Trump:

“Kurds didn’t help us with Normandy”

“Alliances are easy”

Make idiocy one of the articles of impeachment.

Digging up dirt on an opponent and interfering in a political campaign is something Americans can do legally. In fact, it’s considered a good and patriotic thing to do.

But foreigners can’t do it. That’s the law.

Here's what is happening:

Paul Ryan at Fox News hires a polling firm run by liberal activists.

They call many Dems & very few Republicans.

Liberal media puff up the phony poll numbers non-stop.

GOP senators say "Trump's numbers are bad."

It's cover for GOP to impeach Trump.

WASHINGTON—Two Soviet-born donors to a pro- Trump fundraising committee who helped Rudy Giuliani’s efforts to investigate Democrat Joe Biden were arrested late Wednesday on criminal charges of violating campaign finance rules and are expected to appear in court on Thursday, according to people familiar with the matter.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, two Florida businessmen, have been under investigation by the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan, and are expected to appear in federal court in Virginia later on Thursday, the people said. Both men were born in former Soviet republics.

Mr. Giuliani, President Trump’s private lawyer, identified the two men in May as his clients. Both men have donated to Republican campaigns including Mr. Trump’s, and in May 2018 gave $325,000 to the primary pro-Trump super PAC, America First Action, through an LLC called Global Energy Producers, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Actually, you fabricating I posted "lawyers only say" (my emphasis on "only") simply proves you'll say whatever you need to to unabashedly pimp your case.

Two other points: it's want, "not wants", and lawyer is only capitalized by insecure ambulance chasers.

Generalized Lawyer bashing isn't something that wins points for your side of the debate. Your point was that Lawyers only say what their clients want them to say. Which is a patently FALSE statement.

Did you know that an Attorney's clients can be held to the admissions that his Lawyer espouses? This means that when a Lawyer speaks on behalf of his client, if the Lawyer admits something, the client is deemed to have ALSO admitted it.

Did you also know that a Lawyer CANNOT protect himself from legal liability for professional errors? This means Lawyers tend to be very careful in what they say. It means Lawyers weigh their words before speaking them. It means that Lawyers CANNOT just say what their clients want them to say if those statements would result in legal malpractice. Saying "but you told me to say that" to the client is no defense.

Finally; being a member of the Gestypo isn't something one should be proud of if that's all you have to counter a debate argument with.

That was what I was thinking. If impeachment ever gets to the trial phase his skill at cross examining a witness would be a valuable asset. He's well versed in the Clinton server issue and the Ukraine corruption issue. If impeachment gets to the trial phase I would bet a paycheck that Hillary will have to testify. Won't that be fun to watch!

Prosecutors don't necessarily make good defense attorneys. Their investigative skills aren't honed because they rely on the cops to do that for them. Examination skills aren't honed because their job is to present witnesses and question them leaving cross examination to the defense counsel.

Defense attorneys, OTOH, have to leverage an acquittal from very small bits of information. This comes from investigating the facts, finding witnesses who will counter the prosecutions witnesses, as well as cross examining the prosecutors experts as to their methodology and findings. This takes a skill set prosecutors don't normally need. Many former DA's have gone on to be good defense attorneys. However, like anything there is a learning curve and, until a former DA gets beyond it, his clients suffer if they only chose the former DA based on his resume.

My point is that, on the other side of the coin, if Hillary or Biden has to take the stand the cross examination portion is in Gowdy's realm of expertise as a prosecutor. I guess my point is, it's important to have a good offense as well as a defense.

The Ad Hominem attacks on the whistleblower are meaningless.

Trump used taxpayer money as leverage to get Ukraine's president to do opposition research for his reelection campaign. And specifically directed him to work with "Rudy".

All else is sophistry and bullshit.

And has admitted he did it.

So the testimony of the president of Ukraine himself doesn't mean anything. Typical socialist lefty lune dogma " guilty till proven innocent" Facts don't matter!

At some point, even hardcore Republicans like Moscow Mitch are going to see Trump and associates as too pathetically toxic to not prosecute themselves. His rambling rants and tweatfests have to be making them cringe already.

Trump is terrified of something HUGE! And he knows it's about to "swamp" him.

Trump has repeatedly being saying it over the last week. And, following one of his primary tells, if he charges someone with something, you can bet it's to try to cover that he's doing it in spades himself.

Two associates of Rudy Giuliani connected to efforts to dig up dirt in Ukraine on Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden have been arrested and indicted on criminal charges for violating campaign finance rules.

The charges against the men suggest Giuliani's push on Ukraine and President Donald Trump's receptiveness to it had ties to an illegal effort to influence US politics and policy using foreign funds. The indictment involves two people central to the impeachment inquiry in the House.

Trump is the swamp!

Just another coincidence that they were fleeing the country.

I look forward to the usual suspects explaining why this is actually very bad news for the Democrats.

Until that time comes they are busy with their loyalty pledges again. Loyalty to the swamp, not the constitution.
