All it means is that the whistleblower was someone who could have actually been privy/witness to whatever the complaint was filed about....that is to say it's not just another CCN/NYT conspiracy theory or random nut off the street.

That's it.

Pretty far from definitive proof that Trump is guilty of high crimes.

In all fairness, you don’t really know what it means. As has been mentioned several times now it’s plainly spelled out in the summary of the phone call.

In Trump's own admissions . He is clearly stating what he did and thinks he should be allowed to use foreign aid as leverage for his own political advantage.

He is not and cannot be allowed to solicit foreign help to further his personal political agenda.

He cannot force foreign leaders to participate in opposition research for his 2020 campaign. That is what Guiliani was doing. Opposition research.

dude, just SHUT THE FUCK UP already.

If someone tells the cops that he heard about a "drug shipment" coming into the piers that afternoon, the cops have enough basis to investigate it even though it's hearsay.

IF upon investigation the cops find out it's a legal pharmaceutical shipment, there's nothing to the "tip".

AT THAT POINT if the cops go to the DA who then tries to charge the Pharma company and uses the witness as "evidence" they've now alleged a crime based on a LIE.

Because they KNOW that the "evidence" is false and the witness isn't telling the truth if he continues to make the same claims as in the "tip".


Fast forward to the Ukraine thing:

The whistleblower makes a hearsay complaint. The complaint was marked urgent/etc and investigated.

Nothing was found. The claims in the complaint are false. False claims are lies.

Now suddenly the D's are all upset that someone (falsely) says Trump committed a crime and DEMAND the relevant documents be conveyed to them.

Ok, Trump gives them the transcript and the complaint and also releases them for the public to read for themselves.

No there, there.

BUT the D's are moving forward with (illegal) impeachment crap based on the complaint and Schiff LYING into the congressional record.

The D's are accusing Trump based on false facts. Schiff FABRICATED evidence just for the purpose of moving the allegations forward.

Yet, you insist that none of that is a lie or false or fabricated. Because you claim it's just "hearsay".

It's all lies. From start to finish, it's nothing but lies. No excuses or deflections or definition changes on your part will change that FACT.
