So I used to keep a journal. Well I did a better job of keeping a journal...
I found my old laptop. I thought it was lost in the move. I've been rereading for about a week. I shared this entry with a friend but, I thought maybe I would post in here and maybe post some more of my entry’s.. if people are interested...
About 5 years ago I started taking my role in our Wife Led Marriage more seriously.. this is a post from 10/23/14.
“This is either wonderful or frightening. This evening I went with Matt to Home Depot to deal with the countertops.
While I was talking to the salesman he was playing hide and seek with the girls.
I picked out black cambria for the sink and a granite top for the island. We are so over budget.. so to save some money I decided to have Matt rent a truck and deliver everything.
While I was explaining my vision and trying to avoid telling him how much the countertops would cost. I could see his eyes. He wanted to disagree and tell me to find something more affordable. Then instead of a disagreement or argument his eyes softened and he said.
“Sweetie if that’s what you want, lets do it.”
Not an argument or even that’s fine. He enthusiastically said to me “Sweetie if that’s what you want, let do it.” If this is really how it’s going to be. IF then wow.. I guess only time will tell if this is really working.”
So that was about 5 years ago...
How things have changed... now I call him Sweetie..
