Cousin Incest Story- Alone at the cottage

So, I've been banging away at my keyboard, trying to come up with some semblance of a story, when an idea hit me!

Years ago, all four branches of the family would gather at a cottage site every summer. Over the past fifteen years or so, fewer members of the extended family showed up (growing up, going to college, careers, moving away, etc.), until all that's left is a single, 20-something man, reminiscing about the old days. He broods, and is bored out of his mind.
Cue a phonecall from an aunt or u cle he hasn't seen or heard from in about five to ten years. They let him know that their daughter, his cousin, is coming by, having finally freed up some vacation time. Once she arrives, they discover that they have feelings for each other and, over the course of the next 14 days, start exploring each other sexually.

How does this sound?

Excellent! Because I've already started it. No idea whether I should post each day as an individual chapter, or just write it all in one. Either way, it's going to be fun to write!

I had a somewhat similar idea involving a mansion or cottage that falls as inheritance to the Boy (perhaps in some somewhat dubious way), but then a cousin Girl shows up to challenge him and claim her rights on at least a part of it. They resolve the conflict by uniting their interests.

But this is much simpler idea, and perhaps thus better. With it just having had been an once popular gathering site with now just them two left there from the earlier crowd now scattered across the world there's that sweet melancholy of bygone era; a hint they better stick together or will get lost in the wide world, as little as it had become; the seemingly senile themes contrasting with their youthfulness, secluded place with the ever hurried world outside.

Certainly not a hard-and-fast rule, but I-T fans usually don't see cousin sex as incest. In much of the world (including Anglo-American societies) cousin marriage is common or expected. Cf Poe, Darwin, Giuliani. I usually add closer kin to cousin tales, just to be sure. Rampant incest is best.

For this story, the supposed cousins may surprisingly turn out to be half or full siblings. Or they may THINK they're close kin but then find (via documents in a newly-opened trunk) that they're only paternal cousins, so their fucking is all-okay, even innocent. Shocking!

Huh. Well, you learn something new every day. Then again, I write the type of stories that I'd want to read, so... And my goal with this is to write a story that's emotionally charged.

For this story, the supposed cousins may surprisingly turn out to be half or full siblings. Or they may THINK they're close kin but then find (via documents in a newly-opened trunk) that they're only paternal cousins, so their fucking is all-okay, even innocent. Shocking!

DUN DUN DU-- yeah, no, I doubt I'll take that route. I want to stay away from soap opera tropes, at least for now. (But the lead character does have an incredibly flirty twin sister who's bi, and is very open with her sexuality. Whether I get around to telling that particular story remains to be seen!)

Might also make an intriguing post-apocalyptic tale - a lone survivor at a hidden family vacation home, when his cousin stumbles in from the wilderness. How do they redouble the supplies they need to survive together while avoiding the ongoing challenges? Both are worn tired and stressed out -maybe even wounded. Each may have survived atrocities to get to where they are now.

How does love/lust grow?

As far chapters here are considered, a good chunk of text by Literotica standards seems to be between 9k and 18k worlds, but up to 45k words are still preferable as single submission, and even much longer isn't really an issue. There's some alleged difference in readership preferences in various categories, but generally stories or chapters under one Lit page long receive on average worse scores than longer ones. A Lit 'page' is likely 20kb of raw text, about ~3750 words.

So unless it seriously outgrows 50k words and/or has internal logical breaks that allow or demand splitting in at least semi-independent parts, you don't have to worry about splitting it up.

Splitting may provide longer initial visibility time on the new stories page, but there's expected attrition of views per chapter, by a fairly high factor. It is conjectured however that view count on a third and later chapters might be closer to true reads than first page hits, but that is debatable, to an extent. Understandably, later chapters do tend to get better scores than single stories on average due to reader self-selection.

I have one cousins story and there's definitely a drop off for it, but it still gets big numbers compared to stories in most other categories. I'll compare it to a brother-sister I published five months earlier:
