Moochie’s Meandering Missives (and a pic or two)

So I got part of the way into it, but someone who shouldn’t be watching crime dramas woke up and wanted to snuggle...

So I’m just getting back to it now...

...In the bath.

Manni and I are just sitting watching Netflix this morning...

What’s your favorite Netflix show?

*Replaced with a look away*

Right now enjoying Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
But favourite Netflix show is definitely Stranger Things I would say.

There’s a pentagram on my barista’s right scapula.
She has short, dark hair pulled back in a pony.
Her fake smile, although flattering, makes me not like her.
Driving away with my overpriced coffee, I’m unphased.
I park under a streetlight and walk in as sprinkles touch my skin.

Tempestuous

Dark, stormy skies
Searching for somewhere
To grasp and hold,
But, as with every time,
Kernels and particulates
Sift out the bottom,
And there is nothing left
To seize.

Stopping a wheel
In perpetual motion
Isn’t happening,
As it continues to spin
And slowly erode
The surfaces closest,
The grip on reality
Becomes distant.

With the first trickle
Of a brewing storm
Over head,
Falling to the ground,
Slowly reaching saturation,
Delicate fragrance
Of the fresh day
Drifts past.

Addicted to Him, sounds really good for you both.

I have never,
Ever
Wanted someone
Like this before.

My mind is running circles,
As it often does,
When I start to
Overthink about something,
And then I felt you.

You,
Gathering me up
Into your lap
And holding me close to you.

A salty kiss on my forehead...
The whole world
Disappearing,
Leaving
Only
Us.

I don't have Netflix, However, I would say Manni is a very lucky man. That poem is very evocative of your love.

Manni is the luckiest ever... but I’ve never considered my teddy really gendered... reflecting, I do mostly use male pronouns, but I’ve never written a love poem for him... maybe I should! I do love this little bitty and can’t sleep without him.

Confused as usual. :) Change that to "the Subject of the poem"

The subject of that poem (and many of my writings this past year) is my galvanic muse (He is going to poke me about this... I can already feel it).

About this particular piece:
“lovely in every sense. And feelings that echo my own“ - Him

So, after a godawful staff meeting (which, why do we still have these when we know everything will just devolve into chaos anyway?), I’ve decided to go out for a drink and a bit of breakfast.

I was carded, which I try to take as a compliment... but think is very funny as I am reading a hilarious, very x-rated comic...

God Hates Astronauts. Highly recommend.

I think that is very funny.

A couple of years back, my daughter, now over 40 went to but a bottle of whiskey for her partner and was refused because her daughter 8 was with her. Their reason for refusal was the she could be buying it for the child. Manager was sent for and the checkout girl made to feel an idiot.

Mind you she always managed to get a child’s fare on busses even when she was 25.

The ocean
In your eyes
Dark, depths
Of known spaces,
Shared, earned, owned.

The earthquake
In your touch
Moving, shaking
My very core,
Breathless, molten, found.

The mountains
In your words
Strong, lasting
Every thought,
Lifting, filling, completing.
