The Isolated Blurt Thread XXIX : So Stupid

First long weekend in months and it's ruined by fucking storm prep. My body is in rebellion. I've lifted and hauled more fucking plywood than I ever fucking wanted and I still don't know if the eastern bank of windows needs boarding up or not.

This fucking "holiday" weekend has sucked. Really fucking sucked.

hehe

Sorry I gotta turn into a corrective geek/music teacher for a moment.
Not faster...shorter,. Notes and rests are not notations of SPEED, but are measure of musical time (not chronographic time). So, an eighth note isn't faster than a quarter note, it is shorter.

^^^Smoked out the band nerd.
*nods*

Steve Inskeep, host of NPR's Morning Edition, was interviewing retired general and former Secretary of Defense, James "Mad Dog" Mattis today about Mattis' newly published memoir Call Sign Chaos: Learning To Lead.

Inskeep is, of course, doing contortions desperately trying to trick Mattis into doing exactly what Mattis has specifically said he won't do ("I don't discuss sitting presidents...").

Inskeep's interview is a classic example of NPR bias and partisanship.

It follows on the heels of NPR's transparent effort to turn normal weather (Hurricane Dorian) into proof of catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming.

My friend group in Chi is so different than my group in Minneapolis. Birthday gatherings are so much more intense now. Oh, we’re going to Charleston to celebrate her 40th? Let me book my ticket. Fuck yes.

The speed with which this hurricane intensified was not normal, but literally unprecedented. Do keep on tooting that horn, though.

Speaking of which, as incandescently dumb as this president is, for some reason he is never dumber than when talking about hurricanes. I remember the time he warned us that a particular storm was "tremendously wet."

I forgot the tremendously wet phrase. Heh. Have a paper towel!

sorry your body's put out having to do all that shit... and i hope you don't get hammered hard. better to go through the physical stress for nothing than get hit by the size of this hurricane. it's YUGE! the poor bahamian islands are getting wrecked. :(

it's a thing, that i don't concern myself with notions of feeling 'better' than some people or not... it's just not something that occurs to me. i am absolutely 100% glad, thrilled, even, that i am different to certain people, like a 180 degrees of difference in my outlook and approach to things, but this whoe 'better/superior/inferior' thing is just another concept in the minds of those who - for whatever reason - feel inferior.

in other words, it's not me, it's you. get over it. it's not real. you want to convince yourself it is? that's ALL on you.

Are you kidding me? You spend your whole time here looking down your nose at people when it isn't stuck up the butts of people of whom you want to gain acceptance. :)

Low grade headache. But I also found an inexpensive, comfortable, wireless bra.

just a week ago, i was here, drinking in the scenery... seems like ... well, a week ago!

Sucker's stalled out over it for hours now.

Home made chicken pot pie is helping. I'm grooving on the fresh veggies. Seriously needed.

Me too times two.

The bra is the better part of that statement.

Bah. I'll take a nice pretty forest about right now.

So, even the watered down version of the government's Operation Yellowhammer report (no deal Brexit preparations) was deemed to be so fucking scary that a planned release tomorrow has been cancelled.

Butters, dolf and Adrina are still here!
*waves, blows kisses*
*closes Lit up again*

"it's not me"MeMEMEME.

Right.

Fucking NPR is out there broadcasting flat-out lies about hurricane activity.

It is un-fucking-believable. It's bald face bullshit. It's not even close.
