Lol, I like it. I don't evacuate though. Too many animals. Again, i live central, so worst case scenario is tree falls on my house. Low risk compared to the logistical problems.

But no power, no clothes, don't care if the house falls apart. The neighbors can deal.

Yeah, Yeah, I know many people frown on the hurricane joking and parties, but there is something you kind of need to understand. ok, I am sure you have had friends or family who have gotten bad medical news, like a cancer diagnosis. You have 3 times, the pity party where they are constantly depressed, and the I will fight this and take on the world, and the one who jokes about wigs and funerals. Everyone deals differently, and honestly the 3rd is the ones who seem to go on in the most positive way. Hurricane life is kind of the same. we do this year after year. always uncertain paths and strengths, never knowing if it will be nothing or if it will be catastrophic. Knowing we will probably face a lot of inconvenience at best, such as no power, no water, and an inability to go anywhere. some people panic and freak out and worry, some go balls to the wall trying to fortify everything and build a bomb shelter with supplies that can last a year, and some karaoke to rock you like a hurricane. and we might do it again in 2 weeks or 2 years, but we will. everyone copes with it in there own way, and that includes the Rock you like a hurricane way. If you can't find humor in a shitty situation, you start to go nuts....well says me at 9 days in 100 degrees with no power or water anyway.

Now step one of the rock you like a hurricane prep is alcohol and puns of the name. So tomorrow wine and trying to come up with puns for Dorian.
