As the next Democratic Debate approaches, it’s time to start counting down.

So far, only Nine candidates have qualified for the debates, set for Houston on Sept. 12 (and Sept. 13 if more than ten candidates are in and a second debate is needed): Former Vice President Joe Biden, Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D), former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) and businessman Andrew Yang are all set.

The latest casualty is John Hickenlooper.

Who’s gonna get squeezed out next?

The Dems are not like clueless Republicans who let Trump hijack their nomination. You'll recall DNC brownshirts ensured that nobody - especially Bernie - was going to take the 2016 nomination away from the Clintons. That's the way the DNC rolls.

Same shit is going to happen this time around. Sure, Biden may be leading in the polls, but the DNC's shrinks now know he is mentally unfit to survive mano a mano with Trump.

Yeah, Biden might have been the most likely guy to beat Trump, but the poor old fuck is in the early stages of dementia. Hopefully, he can retire gracefully, the sooner the better.

That leaves only Warren standing. Out of the rest of the putzes running maybe one is VP material, no matter how they mouth off in the debate.

It's as good as done deal already, but for the dog and pony show.

He has not endorsed Biden because Biden was the Vice President during his time in the oval orifice. ()

That means he knows first hand that Biden is every bit the asshole that he appears to be every time he gets in front of a mic. Obama may be evil but he is not stupid. He knows that Trump would turn Biden into mush. But he can't endorse someone else because that would be a statement about his own failed time in the Oval Orifice. () After all, Obama choose Biden. So to endorse someone else would be tantamount to saying: "In the long list of blunders during my two terms the first one was selecting Biden." So, he has to wait for the inevitable. Biden will soon be crushed in the polls and he will make up a bullshit reason why he is dropping out. Then Obama will announce his endorsement.

Obama's exercising sound judgement by staying out of the primary process. As soon as the Democrats select their nominee, Obama will get involved.
