Hey everyone!

What are your thoughts on nonconsensual kidnapping stories where the captive falls for the captor? Do you think they cross a line or are they perfect for non-con?

There are tons of stories out there. One in particular that I read here on Lit a long time ago was one of the first introduction to that kind of dark romance, nonconsensual genre. I can't find the story now; I think it was called "Captive: The Story of Addy" or something like that. Has anyone read that? Has anyone found it?

Found the story!

I found the story in question, but the author is no longer on Lit :( so we can't read if for free. If anyone is curious its called The Lotus Keeper.

This post approach always makes me wonder if the OP is also the author. :D

What is OP? and no, just a curious reader. I prefer the free stories.

OP is short for Original Poster, the one who started the thread.

Also, couldn't help but chuckle at "nonconsensual kidnapping". Like, that's already implied by the kidnapping part, isn't it? The whole definition of kidnapping is that someone is taken against their will, else it's not a kidnapping. But I digress.

Non-con, definitely. I've tried Romance category with a disclaimer on top. Still get a lot of complaints.

So, I tried the opposite: Non-con category with romantic ending and guess what: They seem to like that.

There's a romantic in everyone :D

"Take me! Oh please, take me! Won't anyone abduct me? Am I so ugly? Argh!"

Kidnap: To take possession of a person or persons by force, usually for ransom, rape, trading, and/or terminal tickling. Or maybe it's faked.

Consensual: I want you to do it. Oh please, PLEASE!!! I don't care if you're a fake! Take me far from this boring suburb!

Non-consensual kidnapping: Okay, take me, but I'd really rather stay home.

Consensual non-kidnapping: I'll stay home anyway. Are you busy tonight?

Another take: The would-be kidnapper starts playing bottleneck blues on a cheap Chinese dobro. A howling cat sits on the player's knee. The victim begs to be taken away. This works better than you could imagine.

I've had some pseudo kidnapping story ideas floating around in my head for ages. As in, the kidnapped person stages it somehow to escape something or get ransom money from a rich relative. We could go back in time a bit and write about an elaborate escape from East Germany or something. Someone somehow consents to it as part of hazing or initiation ritual somehow. Anything like that could get kink'ed up pretty quickly.

I don't do much non-con though, so a story that's about Stockholm syndrome probably wouldn't be something I'd write personally.
