He is reduced down to a size of perhaps 1/100 of a millimeter as part of an anatomy/sociology project and records the inner workings of his lovely female research partner as she experiences various forms of masturbation, intercourse, cunnilingus and varying states of arousal, along with more mundane activities. He exists in a tiny, ultra tough hi-tech suit and has provisions for a 3 week stay, as well as a communication system with his research partner so they can converse about what each one is experiencing in real time.

Definitely an interesting premise! I hope you write it, or someone does.

In the sequel, does the female partner get shrunk down and injected into his balls?

I actually did have an idea where the female partner is shrunken tiny and 'rides out' the burst of his ejaculation. Also one where the male partner brings along some shrunken friends and they attempt to scale her now mountainous breasts.

Forgetting most reality problems, I still see some issues and options.

* Instrumentation: To research human sexuality from inside, only a mini-drone is needed, not a shrunken human and their life-support. The drone operator can have fun in there, of course.

* Total SciFi: The diver and their environment suit with air, food, water, etc are shrunk down to mini-scale -- a whole tiny package, to avoid the diver dealing with huge molecules.

* What size? How small is too small? Crichton and Preston in MICRO said a half inch (12mm) tall for exploring unless you're hunting bacteria, in which case 7/100th inch (<0.2mm) works. Too small in an inner-space setting may be unsettling.

* How stable are the shrinkings? Might a diver start enlarging too soon and need immediate removal?

* How secure is the procedure? Suppose a noble explorer dives through sensuous protoplasm... while a nefarious villain shrinks and sneaks in. Drama ensues, maybe with laser-tag battles or fleshy disguises.

Some technical difficulties can be avoided by replacing science with magic. Make it scientific magic performed by licensed wizards under labaratory conditions. Now you're room for many heroes, villains, and sex slaves.

PS: Were I to attempt this, I'd try to make it 1950's pulp SciFi/Fantasy.

That's too small. The poor shrinkonaut would be eaten by the first phalanx of macrophages he encounters probably within the first minutes of arrival. Even if he had the proper protein coating to make himself invisible, much of his time would be spent negotiating her various cellular control systems. Moreover, it would be like being a twig in a river. He wouldn't be able to control his movements inside her body.
