It is Obon, when we must return to our hometowns and visit our ancestors graves and shrines. We had done this earlier but had the opportunity to go one more time before we went on vacation and be able to attend a formal event.
We both wore Japanese formal wear which was nice. You don't wear underwear underneath the inner robe. The correct style is to wear a towel underneath to avoid having any bustline, but now we do not mind.
Our relatives left us a farm house to stay in while here. The old wooden building is nice, but it is hot. The sounds of cicadas in the fields saying mii mii miiiiii all the time is very summer Japan. We sleep on top of futon on the tatami mat floor, with a mosquito coil burning and a net. It is very pleasant to make love, but sometimes after dipping in the bath afterwards you can't tell whether it is the water drops or the next sweat forming.

I love that you give information into some of the tradition of your homeland and things I would never know, such as no underwear under formal clothes.

Beautiful photo of water droplets on your skin.

Ok. The simple story is I am now engaged to be married.
The longer story is my company wanted to promote me and send me to their Seattle office. It was worrying me as I have been quite serious in my relationship. If I refused the promotion I would have to have a good reason or be expected to resign. I am going to Hawaii with my boyfriend during Obon in August when we should go back to our hometowns and visit our ancestors, so my parents came to Tokyo to visit me. It was time to introduce him to my parents so we had dinner. My father was quiet and then asked him what he did and what his intentions were to his daughter. He was very serious and told my father that he was very happy with me and that in time he would like it to be more. So my father said that if that was the feeling already then why later and not now. So he proposed at the table. I was unprepared and feeling panicked but the truth was why later and not now and I did not have any reason to say no, so I said yes.
I came on Literotica at the start of the year, I met some nice people that were kind to me, I was introduced to a man I would not have met otherwise, and now I am marrying him.
MissS, I insist that you will come to my wedding. You can be the Nakodo. Perhaps we can have a Lit table of people with a secret.

this is so beautiful!! Congratulations!! I hope you both have a beautiful life together 💖💞

I had no idea about the towel and lack of underwear under the formal wear... how interesting. It will now be what I think of when I see others in formal wear:rose:

Your pictures are, as always, simply glorious... you could genuinely consider your next career move into photography. Your ability to capture light and shadows is breathtaking,

As are yours!

I didn’t get a chance to comment earlier, I run around my MiLs on a Saturday and lit access is limited and covert. Your pic on the bridge is stunning,

Nice bath pic for August. I can almost smell the wood, tatami mats and the outside countryside. The cicadas are the classic sound of summer.
Good that you are a kimono traditionalist. It always looks a bit tacky with knicker indents under a kimono. A bit hard to get them off when you need to go as as well.

I try to make it more interesting. I noticed some people were starting to make more interesting posts so I thought I could as well. I think it makes the interaction a bit more personal and interesting. You know some of my life and some of my body so it is different now.
The water did hold nicely. In the very hot summer it is better to just dry in front of the fans.

It is nice to wear them. Not everyday but I wish I had more opportunity sometimes.

Thank you. I don't wear the towel as I don't mind my breast shape to be seen. Some people wear panties but you will always see the shape. I prefer none in the traditional style. It would be very difficult to pull them down if you went to the bathroom and then to rearrange after unless you have a friend go with you to help. Traditional toilets are better than western ones for this. We always laugh at western ladies trying to squat, most do not have the correct technique. Flat feet not up on toes.

Yes you are correct, you need to think of many things when you wear them.

So many times "shouldn't" is the right choice, but how much fun would that be?

People often say that we have greater regret for the things we do not do than for those we did.

It is so rewarding to see that you and your husband share your adventures and 'questionable' choices, that you have such a partnership.

And of course, the fact that you share all of that with us is greatly appreciated!

You are an amazingly beautiful woman and he is a highly gifted photographer.
