You have been seriously hacked and...

Strange things have been happening on my laptop.. I noticed about a month ago that my webcam light was on when I entered my bedroom, it went off as soon as I walked up to the computer. This happens every few days and it stays on longer each time. I do not see anything abnormal on my screen. I notice that it stays on longer when my wife is in the room. She asked me about the light and I told her that it is just a soft ware problem, nothing to be concerned about. A couple of weeks ago I opened up my email and there was an email from me to me.... when I opened it there was a link in it, it was to a mapquest page and showed my real address.. At first I was freaked about it. After a few days I found it to be a turn on. Am I nuts?

Someone is watching you through the webcam... Scan for malware now and put your clothes back on.

seems like the proper thing to do

But I just can't bring myself to do it. For some reason I enjoy knowing that a total stranger is watching my wife and I ..

Freakishly I can understand this but I wonder what will happen if your wife finds out - and then discovers that you knew and didn’t tell her. I think it would be wrong for you to continue without your wife being fully onboard

I also have given this thought, she would freak out in every way. she would trash the computer. She iss not computer savy shall say.

and yet again

And there it is, my webcam light is shining brightly. I wonder if this stranger can see everything I type..

If you are really that stupid..

You wonder if they can read what you type? I don't mean to be insulting but are you really that stupid? Obviously if what you are saying is true then your computer is hacked. That means that all kinds of things on your computer are "out there" - bank info and all kinds of stuff. The "thrill" of wanting some creep to see your wife's tits is so great that you are willing to betray her and put yourself at risk from a hacker? I just don't think you are that stupid. I hope not. But anyway, if it is true then show some respect for your wife. I don't mind being seen nude on a nude beach but if my husband was secretly letting some creep watch me without my knowledge I would be pissed and we would have a hell of a fight about it. So think it through and clean up your computer and put a post-it note over the camera right now.

There's being adventurous and then there's been plain stupid. Get a grip, buddy!

Seriously, stop effing around and get your computer fixed. You're playing with idiotic fire and asking to be burned beyond recognition.

hey...

maybe its not you and the wife 'they' are watching???
You got kids?
Do your friends have kids?
Do your relatives have kids?
Do you smoke dope? or hide cash in your house?
Or stash drugs at your house?
Are you secretly planning a terrorist action and overthrow of the govt?
Are you unknowingly existing in two different timelines, with one of your personalities a super secret spy, whose activities deem it necessary for someone to watch you constantly?

NO,? then your probably being hacked for your cable tv.
Or your bank and stock portfolios.

maybe its your wife trying to find out what you hiding on the computer???

It's one thing to enjoy being watched but another to subject someone else to it without consent; wife or not.
You like it? I can understand the thrill, but...
Try to meet or at least get to know something about the person or at least know if he/she is friendly or a threat.
Might even be a mutual consent thing later. But please don't be a victim in any sense of the word.
No judgement, just friendly advice.
I've covered the camera and mike with small piece of cardboard and electrical tape. Not noticeable.

If you find it to be a turn on then just share your webcam with strangers who haven’t hacked your computer, instead. That way you can get the thrill of showing off without the danger of doing it with someone who knows where you live and possibly more compromising info.
