It started with Bork. The idea is to make a claim and publicly ridicule and slander someone in an effort to promote your political agenda. In Bork's case it was sexual misconduct.
It worked.
They tried to do the same thing with Clarence Thomas. And Brett Kavanaugh. It didn't work so they changed the play a little bit.
Now it's make a claim of unspecified illegal conduct and follow through with the public ridicule and slander campaign until the person being persecuted resigns or withdraws.
Notice how the D's always start their commentary with "Trump's malfeasance" or "Trump's criminal behavior" and then proceed to "and we'll eventually get the evidence"?
They START with the claim of wrongdoing, then proceed to "investigate" while spending years of casting the same slur over and over and over again with no actual basis to support it other than their "claim" and their "investigation".
It's the same game as what happened to Bork. It's the only game they have. It's why Trump's being investigated for the 3rd time over something that's already been disproven twice.

Baltimore hasn't had a Republican government since 1967. Many areas of Cummings district ARE exactly that, rat infested slums. Cummings has been in office for 23 years and hasn't done a thing to improve conditions in his district.
Unfortunately, everything Trump said about Baltimore was true. Being in the company of Detroit and St Louis as the most deadly cities in the country is nothing to be proud of. Baltimore is where the court system let out a guy in less than 10 years who was involved in the Zach Sowers violent curb stomping death. Guess what happened literally as soon as the guy got out of jail? He committed a violent carjacking. Baltimore is where teenagers and youths have gotten out of control and terrorized the entire city about 1 year ago when they were violently carjacking people nearly every single day. In one case, a Jewish man was carjacked and run over by youths who stole his car outside the synagogue school for his kids. The police found a 10 year old involved in the crime. Baltimore is the same city where youths beat to death a 97-year old World War II Veteran. Baltimore is the same city where a mother of several kids was murdered execution style in front of her family because she had to gall to call the cops on the person who stole her child's bike.

Cummings is a corrupt, racist, member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and like the other 73 or so members, all domestic enemies of the United States as founded, its founding documents, and its white majority. All have ties to the CPUSA and or its Marxist affiliates, all of them. His number one job is to subvert the congressional law making process, its investigative process, and its oversight authority of the DOJ and the FBI. He's a good friend of the Muslim Brotherhood as well and works to advance their subversion of our country as well. In short, he is a dirt bag political operative who doesn't give a shit about any of his fellow Americans except those he can use to advance his Marxist agenda.
He's been insulting America for most of his career and has been an active participant in framing, falsely accusing the President, and disparaging the 63 million of us who voted for him. He deserves every word of Trump's rant and more.
