6th) Click on the "Preview Post" button to check if the link you pasted worked. (Some sites don't allow hot-linking from their websites). If you don't see any problems, click on the "Submit Reply" button to finish.

FYI, you can only link up to 10 pics or gifs in a single post. Hope this helps.

This is what I get at step 5

As you can see the appears twice and only the url appears, not the photo or GIF. I'm open to suggestions from anyone on how to post a photo or GIF without having [IMG] appear before and after the url.

This does not permit me to change the size of the photo. I change the size on Imgur.com and then I use the BB code provided by Imgur.

Yup. Those directions are just for posting images/gifs on Lit. I use imgur to resize pics as well. I set the max dimensions to 1300px wide and/or 1050px tall. Those dimensions work well with most laptop screens. I don't go wider than 1300 pixels because then you have to pan left and right to read posts which most people find annoying as fuck.
