Hello everyone. I just returned to this site after about a 2 year break and have been thinking about offering my services as an editor once again. I edited quite a few stories back then and have a decent amount of experience, although I'd by no means call myself an expert.
How does it work?
1. Post a reply in this thread or send me a PM describing your story in a few sentences. Include a quick overview of genre, setting and plot, as well as the dominant fetishes. Wordcount of the story is also useful to know.
I tend to both give technical corrections (spelling, grammar, word choice, etc.) and some story feedback where needed (character development, plot holes, inconsistencies and such). Should you have a preference for one over the other that would also be useful to note, as it saves me some time by only focusing on the parts you actually want help with.
2. If I'm not too busy and your description didn't turn me off right away (see below), I will ask you to email me your story for review. This will have to be a MS Word document, or alternatively you can share a Google Docs document with me. I'll quickly scan it to get a feel for the general state of the writing. This will give me an idea of how much work it would be to edit, after which I'll let you know if this fits into my schedule, as well as a general estimation of how long it would take me. This is more so a vague guideline than a hard promise, as my schedule is a bit unpredictable and some stories take more time than others.
3. Once I'm done editing you will receive your story back by email. I use a combination of the track changes feature of MS Word and comments in the document (or the equivalent features of Google Docs). Please make sure you understand how these features work before you review my feedback, I've had people ignoring the stuff from track changes before by accident, or thinking they didn't need to do anything with the document after they got it back.
Stories I don't accept
Generally speaking, most stories should be fine, as long as they're in English and provided in a format Microsoft Word supports (or shared on Google Docs).
However, the following genres/fetishes will ALWAYS BE REJECTED by default:
What do I ask in return?
Some credit for the editing at the top of your story using my full username (ThisNameIsntTakenYet).
Also, the promise that you actually do something with my feedback. I won't fix your story for you, instead you will get advise and suggestions on how to improve your story. This will require some work on your part, and in the past I've seen writers post stories that have basically all the problems I pointed out still in them. I spend a lot of time on the editing process, and while my feedback is just a suggestion, I would appreciate it if you actually intend to do something with it (unless you disagree with a suggestion of course).

However, the following genres/fetishes will ALWAYS BE REJECTED by default:
- Anything that is against the Literotica rules. If you can't post it, I won't edit it either.
- Gay/bisexual males (exception might be made if it's only one scene or a minor element)
- Watersports, toiletplay and related fetishes involving bodily fluids.
- Very extreme BDSM, disfiguring, excessive/glorified/sexualized gore and/or extreme violence, etc.
