Was the wind blowing the blue-green algae offshore? I was born and raised in the Black Swamp near where the Toussaint enters the lake...it crushes my heart hearing what is now normal

No algae last night.
It is a shame, Gov. Kasich tried to implement rules to limit the use of fertilizers that promote the algae growth but the more right-wing lawmakers together with the farmers stymied him. Now with Dewine as Gov, there's no way it will happen.
However, on the positive side, the algae is not as bad as in previous years, the lake is a lot cleaner than in the 60's and 70' when I was a kid, and, I don't know if a sign of a healthy lake or not, but the walleye population has exploded this year.

Good lawd it is nasty outside! I actually avoided an outdoor family reunion today because I have a sick child at home. Not an awesome reason, but I am relieved to be inside and not around a bunch of people I don't really know all that well. I saw Trevor Noah last night at an outdoor venue and I'm pretty sure I sweat out half my weight while sitting in the audience. So gross.
