There are at least 4,200 religions in the world today, and countless more have been lost to history. It’s obvious there’s a 0% chance all of them are the true word of God. Some thinkers have speculated that each religion is at least a little divinely inspired and holds a piece of the puzzle left to us by God to put together. But the only way to come to that conclusion is to ignore huge tracts of doctrine in each religion. Ultimately, none of them are compatible. If any religion is true, there’s only one.

This means at least over 6 billion people alive today believe in a religion that was written 100% by human beings and 0% dictated by the creator of the universe. A belief system written by human beings that has no bearing on the factual nature of reality is mythology. The cold, hard truth of reality is that the vast majority of the people alive today believe in mythology and dogmatically refuse to even consider the possibility that’s true. So if you believe in religion, there’s automatically a 99% chance you believe in mythology. If you refuse to question your beliefs, there’s no way for you to know if they’re true, which increases the chance that you believe in mythology to 99.9%. This number is increased to 99.99% if your religion contains any of the following:

1: Human sacrifices

2: Moral values that reflect the needs and wants of a specific primitive culture

3: Instructions to hurt, kill or look down on other people

4: Reasons to look down on yourself

5: A pyramid-shaped authority structure

6: Scientifically inaccurate statements

7: Magical beings, powers or events that no longer exist

Some people have speculated that it doesn’t matter what religion you believe in as long as you believe in something that gives you meaning, instructions and peace. But believing in something that isn’t real is the definition of insanity. It’s not okay to be insane just because you like it because it holds you and society back.

Believing in mythology is counterproductive if for no other reason than it’s a waste of time. It keeps you busy going through meaningless motions while ignoring real world issues that have real consequences to you and the rest of mankind. Your life and everyone else’s would be improved by you focusing on real problems.

Finally...why do you care what others believe? This should be filed under "none of your business."

And yet, Christians go out of their way to make it their business caring about what others believe, and don't hesitate to tell them they're wrong.

Trolls have told me that my religion is climate change, which is based on the scientific method and reasoning.

Oh no, brothers you are very mistaken! Allah has created you to SERVE HIM and to be his 'Abdul' (exalted slave), and even before you were born, you were a BELIEVER (inshallah), but after you were born you were raised by irreligious people and went into irreligious societies intent on secretly taking power and stealing from you - and then you lost your way from Allah (subanawatallah) and perhaps even worse, participated in riba (usury and the taking of interest) - just like THE JOOOOOZ do - and even blaspheming against Allah and His Messenger Mohammad (Sale alahu alayhi wasallaaam), so that you should be cast away and destroyed on account of your fitnah (apostasy against Allah and His Messenger Mohammad, sale alahu alayhu wa-sallaam...huuuuuuurrgh).

Islam is the biggest fastest growing religion on Earth according to the latest Spew Research, which says that there are as many as twenty-five billion BELIEVERS (Muk'min) and growing exponentially ten-fold each year so that by the year twenty twenty, there will be at least 250 billion BELIEVERS in Holy Prophet Mohammad sale alahu alayhi wasallaam, and Allah subanahwatallah, and Hazrat Issa bn Miryam (peace be upon him) and all of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs except not Ali although maybe Ali as long as it is Ali and his Aunt Aiysha (Radulana-hu wa Allah). Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-uuuuuuu - hurrgghh.

And the Jinn. Both the evil ones as well as the BELIEVERS.

Jihad is very misunderstood by the foolish ignorant ptah pth spit unclean (dirty, FILTHY) pigs of the West with their entitled Islamophobic dark hearts - it is just righteous struggle in the way of Allah, following which through Allah (subanahwatallah) and His Bountiful Mercy he may grant you eternal abode in the Janat Ul Firdaus where you will recline on green silk brocade-covered lounges attended by eight thousand young boys like pearls, and eighty thousand houris with skin translucent like white grapes and you will have a penis as long as to the Moon which will never deflate. Ever.

B'ismillah.

You are all very very misguided.

I invite you to Islam. If not you will die.

Peace be to you in the name of Allah the Most Merciful, Most Beneficent, and His Messenger, Mohammad (Sale alahu alayhi wa-sallaaaaaaaaaamu alayikum wa salaam!)

The OP cannot be right - there is not '6 billion people who believe in something written by other human beings' on account there are only 9 billion people on the planet and at least 25 billion of those (born and those yet to be born or about to be aborted, anyways) are BELIEVERS...

...in Holy Prophet Mohammad (Sala;asldkgidefuigaedfjefgg) and Allah subanajksdvdfkjslfgbk
and in the Ka'abaaaah radiulaanahu allah (subanawatallah? maybe...) and Mecca and the Moon and Issa bin Miryam (he did not die on the cross but was taken up by Allah subanawatallah) and his mother Miryam uncle Amraam and cousin Prophet Yayah...

...and these BELIEVERS all believe in the recitation from the memory of Hafs written a hundred years after Holy Prophet Mohammad (sale alahu alayhi wa-sallaam) OF THE HOLY KORAN which was written actually... ...ACTUALLY ...by Almighty Allah Himself before the Dawn of Time. (Except not the Satanic verses part, which is only left in their (snicker snicker) as a SIGN and as A TEST, for the BELIEVERS.

So. You can see from these substantial PROOFS and EVIDENCES, that there are already more than fifty billion, I should say, yes I should so at least maybe even sixty or seventy-two billion people on the Earth right now. All of them Muslims.

SMH!

What you people learn in your Jew-run schools these days! You can't even count most of you people! (BTW, counting was invented by the Arabs).

Allahu Akbar! SMH!!!

I think, talking about mythology, you mean metaphysics instead. Because myths are stories about souls of humans, societies, and about ideas and fate, they not necessarily deal with transcendent beings.

While I have a utopic goal that some might call my God, I don't have a confession in any sense defined by any religious structure in any region of the world. I have a conviction though. I think every religion is a great misunderstanding and an ideological structure that is mostly used to manipulate people by fear and remorse, though sometimes there are emancipation strives shining that the rebels claim to be caused by their God(s) resp. their religious dogmas.

Holy fuck! Great point, dude. Way better than what I was saying. Yeah yeah yeah yes yes - should be 'metaphysics' not 'mythology.'

I think the OP is falling into the modern-era trap of colloquial usage of words that imply certain things in the minds of the illiterate and the ignorant - but which don't actually MEAN those things at all!!

'Mythology' of course includes societies' long-term narratives about personifications of fundamental social customs recounted for teaching purposes as 'stories about events and the actions of humans that led to some particular outcome/s.' To that extent of course religion is mythology. Which doesn't make it untrue - in fact it makes it all the more socially relevant.

You might want to create a new, MORE socially relevant 'mythology' for today, because you happen to believe that there is some constituency of transgendered people who want to have babies, abort babies, worship some acknowledged non-existent 'Satan,' be atheist, follow the codes of modern politicized 'science,' deny facts unless they fit into a manipulated version of the Frye Daubert 'scientific evidence' test... ...and you can do that.

As they say (because it is a truism; because it is true) 'get woke go broke.'

Off you go, OP. Wave that flag, buddy. Christians bad, Muslims good enough, transgenders everywhere, climate changing, globe warming, Europe uniting, Trump bad, Russians everywhere simply everywhere COLLUDING, women doing violence on film good, trans-'females' doing violence even better, yay Julian Castro. Abortion rights for gay transgendered endangered whales. And trees. No meat. Human stem cell (sustainable meat) okay. No guns because one day someone will shoot your ass. But why would they do that when they could point an audio-visual clip of Paul Joseph Watson at your heavily Hollywood-ized face.

Organized religion is a double edged sword. I don't do organized religion but I have my own beliefs based on reading and experience. I don't try to sell it or give it away and I don't care what anyone else believes as long as it isn't imposed on me.
