Hello from London!

High temp in London today is the low here. I work in building with no AC and I am around 180 degree boiling water all day. Trade?

You don’t want to know I’m eating my arancini in a park in the sunnyshine then? :cattail:

For a moment there I couldn’t see the thread and I was reminded of the time when I got lost at the zoo aged 6 ish. Or the time my mum forgot to pick me up on my first day of school. Yes you read that correctly... first day of school. But here we are all safe and cosy. Morning all ( I was busy last night getting a pedicure which is a tiny factoid for my foot fetish friends ) ;)

My mum left me I'm my pram outside Woolworths the first time she ventured out with me. She came back two hours later after walking the dog on the beach! She also left me in a pub a week later .

Goddamn lucky! I love London parks as much as I love anything. I mostly would just eat crisps and drink ale while kids played.

My arancini man also sells a pistachio spread which I managed to grab a tub of today, it’s gorgeous... so pistachio spread on toast for my Friday work from home breakfast, hopefully in the sunny garden... :cattail:

I do know I’m lucky... also have become a big of a middle class wanker with arancini and pistachio spread but I am greedy enough to not care...

I hear you dude. I am like that with hummus. And I spend way too much on French cheeses. Le Fougerus, Roquefort, Cremeux des citeaux to name a few.

Everyone set for the heat wave this weekend?! Granted, it’s set to last for one day ... that’ll be summer done and dusted!

Ruth’s choice of track is good.

I’m hoping to get laundry done. I was bit of a laundry slob for few days ...

I deliberately ignored it - it would have been good for the thread to die on a random note none of us understood...:D

It still might...

I don’t know. The ABC five word flirt thread in the PG has almost 7500 replies. We may have some time to go.

Evening Shiva, you up to much? I’m watching the lovely Maisie Williams in Departures... suspect this is going to have me crying again

Sorry I pop into and out of lit fairly often and didn't see your reply until now.

I'm just relaxing after work, not looking forward to going back again tomorrow, but I do like me a paycheck, so I will anyway xD

Ah I guess my job isn't even so bad. It's just the atrocity of having to work for a living! How dare they not just feed me, clothe me and entertain me without me having to lift a finger?! The sheer nerve! :D

How're you?

❤️ The Wire (had dinner with Mayor Carcetti aka Aidan Gillen)
❤️ David Simon (have met him)
❤️ Baltimore (lived there seven years...longest residency in my adult life)
❤️ The Pogues

I have never been more jealous of anyone in my life. No kidding. Extra pointz for digging the Pogues and Franks Turner. Cheers dude.

Probably a pub like in the Wire and the Pogues at high volume.

You may have already known this US...

The wake for detective Ray Cole in season 3 of The Wire is rightly celebrated as one of the high watermarks of the series. It’s one of the most moving moments in the run of the show, and also one of the most meta.

Ray Cole was played by Robert F. Colesberry, a producer who had worked with David Simon on The Corner and was an executive producer on The Wire until he died in February, 2004, after suffering complications following cardiac surgery. His last act for the show was his directorial debut, for “Port in a Storm,” the finale of season two.

Not bothering with source attributions.

Also happy Anthony Bourdain day. Kind of a personal hero of mine.

Definitely can personally recommend St John’s, the Princess Victoria, Peppers and Spice and Rochelle Canteen.

Also ❤️ Bourdain. Especially his writing. Never met him, but did make eye contact with him as we were waiting for a table outside The Spotted Pig in NYC. It was only then that I realized the familiar looking guy who had been waiting near us for the past 10 minutes was David Chang of Momofuku.

Were you and I separated at birth? I have always wanted to work in a distillery.

I made a lit video which wasn’t sexy. Or funny. And actually made me cry so I didn’t post it.

Then I had a wank and felt loads better - gotta love a work from home day...:cattail:

Lowering the tone... sorrynotsorry...

I have taken Lit photos that have made me feel exactly that way. ☹️

Gotta love the restorative powers of a good wank. Lovehoney had a 25% off deal the other day, so I decided to finally get the Greedy Girl. 😊

David Chang is fucking amazing. I met him thru my last career which was in culinary. I brew beer now which is so much easier than cooking for assholes.

And thanks for the Wire info. I think I heard that all before but I have a real awful memory.

I had kind of the opposite experience in kindergarten. I decided to go home with a friend of mine. Somehow we convinced her mom that it was okay with my mom. My poor mom was in a panic when I didn’t get off the school bus and the school said that I wasn’t there.

Poor dragon. ❤️❤️❤️
Don’t forget the dynamite.

Omg, I did the same, and more than once, you just don't think at that age do you. It was called nursery school where I went.
