It's all still settling in ....
I was up til 2:30am watching all the post win interviews and celebrations across the country by Canadians.
Give credit to Golden State - this team for five years has been to the finals - the only thing tougher than getting to the top and being a champion is being able to stay there - I have a huge amount of respect for Steve Kerr (who is a truly class guy) and their team.
For Toronto, this was truly a unique team who gelled together. They were even keel all year long with an ultimate goal of making it to the finals and winning the title. From the ownership group, to Masai Ujiri (and his front office team), to Nick Nurse (and his entire coaching and support staff), right down to every last player .... the theme was WIN.
Regardless of what happens in the off season, you have to give big kudos to everyone for this run and the title they bring home to Canada and "theSix" as we affectionately call Toronto.
Proud to be a Raptor fan since inception in 1995 and will definitely enjoy the summer reminiscing about the season that was ...
