DOJ outlines to Congress its investigation of the investigators

The Justice Department's investigation of the investigators involved in the Trump-Russia probe will look at actions both by the U.S. government and by foreigners.

That's what the agency said Monday, telling Congress its review is “broad in scope and multifaceted” in a letter from Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y.

FIRE UP THE POPCORN MACHINE.

It's going to get good!:cool::D

I have a prediction to make here. When the indictments start coming down the democrats are going to start screaming, "Banana Republic." They really have no alternative at this point.

It's really surreal that Republicans are more in favor of Trump going after people and organizations on his enemies list than they are in securing US election systems that were proven to have been breached by a foreign government.

Republicans have always been the ones shouting "national security!".
Of course, they were always the ones virulently opposed to deficit spending. It's like the world has been flipped upside down.
Republicans no longer care about the rule of law, national security or deficit spending.
Although Trump has said his raising of the taxes on imported goods will help pay down the deficit so I guess they sort of care.

It's government investigating government.
No wrong will ever be found.

The parsing and phrasing will be such that
each side can look at it and cry
"victory!"

Pray tell, feel free to consult your rolodex.
Did not President Obama have an "enemies list" too?

I'd like to see some reputable sources on this "breachment" myself.

Funny how that meme has morphed from the Russians (and most likely a few others) trying to influence the election to, according to the implication anyway, actual altering of the vote.

And if that be the case matey, why isn't congress investigating that? Was the portal they used to be found in Trumps 2004 tax returns?

To my knowledge Trump has never said a word about the importance of protecting our elections. Why? Wouldn’t that be considered a duty of the office?

Please point to that particular article of the Constitution that gives the Federal government dominion over elections?

Why would a "centrist" want Trump looking into elections and issues such as ballot harvesting?

Isn't that "banana republic" politics?

;) ;)

Please defend the notion that the elected leader of our country is uninterested in ensuring that the process that elected him, and others, is fair, accurate, and honest.

which means WHAT?

seems to me only the DUMZ dispute results and only DUMZ are against VOTER ID.....Isnt VOTER ID also protecting elections?

it is ASSUMED

yet no one actually can point to evidence....

From WIKIPEDIA

On October 7, 2016, the United States Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence stated that the US intelligence community was confident that the Russian government directed the breaches and the release of the obtained or allegedly obtained material in an attempt to "... interfere with the US election process."[62][63][64]

The U.S. Intelligence Community tasked resources debating why Putin chose summer 2016 to escalate active measures influencing U.S. politics.[65] Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper said after the 2011–13 Russian protests, Putin's confidence in his viability as a politician was damaged, and Putin responded with the propaganda operation.[65] Former CIA officer Patrick Skinner explained the goal was to spread uncertainty.[66] U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff, Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, commented on Putin's aims, and said U.S. intelligence agencies were concerned with Russian propaganda.[65] Speaking about disinformation that appeared in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, Schiff said there was an increase of the same behavior in the U.S.[65] Schiff concluded Russian propaganda operations would continue against the U.S. after the election.[65]

On December 9, 2016, the CIA told U.S. legislators the U.S. Intelligence Community concluded Russia conducted operations during the 2016 U.S. election to assist Donald Trump in winning the presidency.[14][67][68] Multiple U.S intelligence agencies concluded people with direct ties to the Kremlin gave WikiLeaks hacked emails from the DNC and additional sources such as John Podesta, campaign chairman for Hillary Clinton.[14] These[citation needed] intelligence organizations additionally concluded Russia attempted to hack the Republican National Committee (RNC) as well as the DNC but were prevented by security defenses on the RNC network.[69][70]

The CIA said the foreign intelligence agents were Russian operatives previously known to the U.S.[14] CIA officials told U.S. Senators it was "quite clear" Russia's intentions were to help Trump.[67] Trump released a statement December 9, and disregarded the CIA conclusions.[14]

In other words.....POLITICAL OPERATIVES CONCLUDED!

Means SHIT!

here is what IS known as fact

FBI goes to DNC n says you are being hacked, let us into servers and help you stop it

DNC says NO.....they give it to a PVT enity to investigate and they say RUSSIA....
