Anti trump protests in the uk

You know what? I believe that's been your experience. People tend to move in circles of like minded. And we shy away from disagreeing with friends and acquaintances on sensitive subjects. It's human nature.

Fair point.

I think it is nice that The Queen gave trump a book.

Who is going to read it to him?

For the left apparently being unhinged, the right sure is emotionally reactive to a simple news thread. One could posit disproportionately so. If one were to judge by the reactions to this thread.

I knew who would take it personally and get butthurt. I can't see their posts, but the contents are entirely predictable. But this is news. It's huge news here, it probably isn't news there, and some people will find it interesting, even if they also find it offensive.

*chuckle*

She's now wanting to assume the RoryN mantle!

If they comment
then
they are butthurt

This sums up her mentality in a nutshell...

I saw an interview with a British journalist who said the anti-Trump demonstrators were bought and paid for, not spontaneous.

Sure they were. That's the standard accusation for any protest against Trump.

What kind of moron would even believe it?

Oh, nevermind.

Of course they are taking it personally.

They're a very sensitive group.

No criticism of the future dictator will be tolerated. ;)

Unhinged

;) ;)

Is Melania being as celebrated as much as the Royal Brides?

Thanks to the cows,
They look to us.

So what's being protested?

Trump's immigration policies? I wonder if they're watching what's going on in Denmark, the Nordics, Central Europe, and Italy? Hell, in Denmark the left is embracing immigration policies that make Trump's look like a joke.

Trump's trade policies? In particular China. China's ripping everyone off, not just the US. Their government is in effect a criminal syndicate yet there seem to be many European concerns that don't care how much China steals as long as they get wealthy from the scraps that fall from their table. I've always wondered why the Europeans aren't as outraged as we are over China's criminal behavior?

So what's left? Trump is uncouth and crass, this is all true. There are utterances he tweets out or vocalizes that are cringe worthy, this is also true. But as far as his policies are concerned they're not only common sense, in may cases they're long overdue. The only conclusion I'm left with is that it's all personal. That the preference is for a 'nice' person that says all the right things at the right times and policy be damned.

Unfair. He relayed what he had seen reported. Which is what I did.

You butthurt?

Maybe they have a problem with Trump cozying up to dictators and praising them while belittling our traditional allies and interfering with their internal politics as he is currently doing with his Brexit comments?

But no, it must be personal because you agree with his idiotic policies.

Trump hates liberal democracy and those who practice it, the US in particular. GB rightwingers feel exactly the same way.

So it's bad when Trump does it but it's ok when their Government does it?

Well... the pussy grabbing brag pissed off a lot of people. The "nasty" princess comments, coupled with his failure to observe good manners and protocol during his previous interaction with the queen will piss off a lot of the royalists, the levering to try to get us to accept chlorinated chicken will piss off people who eat, him commenting on the upcoming leadership contest offended anyone political (as did, incidentally, Obama crossing the same line with Brexit), the Scots are pissed off about his broken promises and bullying tactics around his golf resort. The UK's favourite dish (officially) is a curry, most people have at least made polite conversation with a Muslim while waiting for their order, and they seem jolly nice and even threw in some free popadom. Oh, and American business interests are pushing to undermine the NHS, which is pretty much blasphemy on a par with arseraping the pope whilst dressed as Jesus.

So, it's bad when Trump does it but ok when your countrymen do it?

Yeah, but asides from all of that, what has Trump really done to piss the Brits off?

Bibbi in Israel!

Rejected the nuclear agreement with Iran without consulting his allies; pulled out of Syria and Iraq without consulting his allies; postured ineffectively with North Korea; dismissed NATO and the UN as useless; started a trade war with China; interfered in UK's internal politics...

And more...
