Anti trump protests in the uk

That's pretty funny.

Honestly, he really is that hated here. And, in all honesty, I don't think it's all about politics. The despots and dictators get protests, but few of them attract as much mockery and loathing as trump. I think it's a cultural thing, like how evangelical preachers are popular there. You like loud people who big things up. In our culture, that's vulgar and distasteful. That's why we want our vicars drive rusty Micra's and speak quietly and drink tea. So, yeah, it's probably only 90% about politics.

Brits have always viewed Americans as vulgar. We view Brits as effete.

Americans are vulgar, and somewhat proud of it. Trump is just the absurdum end of that continuum.

Just for the record, a "Big Orange Fanny" in the UK doesn't have quite the same meaning as a "Big Orange Fanny" in the US. But they're both equally applicable regarding Trump.

I forgot about that!

I saw an interview with a British journalist who said the anti-Trump demonstrators were bought and paid for, not spontaneous.

Someone owes me a pint then!

You don't actually believe those people are bought do you?

Look up 'diametrically opposed'

If you look at the sign, they ran outta room and had to stick a piece of paper on the end. Made me smile.

Most Brits see these protesters as just as much a product of American vulgarity as the president. Sure we hate him, but grumbling ineffectually behind closed doors is much more our style.

Also London is more of a globalist city than an English one at this point so don't assume that's how we all behave.

These protesters are a national embarrassment, they didn't seem to mind every tin-pot dictator in the world having tea with the queen but show up to insult the leader of our closest ally on the anniversary of D-day.

I wonder how many of them can actually articulate what in the hell it is they're protesting?

She has four just on the GB. I can't think of the fourth at the moment. Who knows how many she uses to troll the other boards for pics from dudes pretending to be lesbians. She leads a complicated life on the boards.

If you look at her non GB post you would swear that she's a dude pretending to be a chick but her inability to compose a logical thought seems to confirm her gender.

vera.

Twaddle.

Before judging us, keep in mind fewer than 1 in 5 Americans actually cast a vote for him, and he received the help of a country other than ours to obtain the office.

I'd bet money on the two biggest objections to the protests are disruption (because jams piss everyone off) and policing costs.

Ya'll should be thrilled that you will still have a powerful trading partner that is not

....

Saudi Arabia.

Honestly, everyone I know, no matter their views on Trump, America or Brexit sees these protesters as something akin to a toddler smearing it's own shit on the walls.

Mostly, as i said, because it makes a mockery of the special relationship on the anniversary of what started it.

Oh good.

The internet age shows its acumen...

Argumentum ad pictura

Does it not strike you that high approval of Obama goes hand-in-hand
with the Islamization of the United Kingdom?

~~~ whatever! ~~~
As long as its not "Christian" bigotry...
For the left apparently being unhinged, the right sure is emotionally reactive to a simple news thread. One could posit disproportionately so. If one were to judge by the reactions to this thread.
You know what? I believe that's been your experience. People tend to move in circles of like minded. And we shy away from disagreeing with friends and acquaintances on sensitive subjects. It's human nature.
