I don't know too much of EJ's music, but he seem to be at his best before 1980, save his relatively recent duets with Leon Russell.

Rocketman sounds almost anti-space exploration—ho hum about it—it's just his job, 5 days a week—and Mars is no place to raise your kids on. Roger Clayborne, born on Mars, loves it more than Earth.
