Alternate Blurting I: Wasteland

gotta check on the first radish seeds i planted... they must be about ready :)

Wall is 3D printing the handle. That is a slow and expensive way to do it. The reason may be the round cutout that lines up the two faces using the treasury stamp as a guide. Time is money on this one. He should sub it out and get a zillion of them sold while the selling is good.

I'd definitely buy the stamper, but after finding out about this, I was hoping to find a bill already stamped in the "wild." :D

But I can't see anyone trying to re-circulate them after finding one. Too rare of a snatch. Like a nickel with two heads.

It is 96 today. Yuck. Too hot.

That's what it's supposed to be close to here tomorrow. And humid. It was super cool breezy under sweet sunshine today and I was sorta hoping for a repeat performance! :(

watched some episodes of the golden girls late yesterday evening and the writing+delivery of lines had me chuckling.

but one bit had me laughing, really hard, for at least ten minutes before i got control:

rose had badgered her partner into doing a sky dive after complaining they were boring together, not like her and her last husband(?)

he eventually decides to do it

then they show her getting ready to visit him in hospital because of his leg

blanche tells her he's a pretty exciting guy

rose tells her "you don't realise how much you care for a man till you see him streaking towards earth, trying to grab a bird"

and then finishing it off with she's glad she didn't jump.

That’s great. You should post your synopsises of every golden girls episode.

“Before I started, the prospect of Rees-Mogg in Downing Street struck me as a ridiculous idea,” he wrote. “But if this is what it takes to stop him writing another book, then I think we should seriously consider paying the price.”

That's a fairly vicious review of Jacob Rees Mogg's book.

Someone says you are/were engaged to be married to a poster who constantly rubs your nose in your failings.

Is this true?

Grass can wait. The air is molasses thick already this morning.
Maybe I will get a kiddy pool for the shade. And umbrella drinks.

it's around 90 out there and feeling more like 94 due to humidity

too stupid hot

picked radishes early this morning whilst the dew was still heavy on the grass still in the shade, then H added some banana peppers, broccoli and young zukes to the bowl. gonna make a stir fry with some chicken later on this evening. this morning made some big, pillowy biscuits - perfect with sausage, perfect with the homemade jams

i LOVE cooking - never got to do so much 'fun' cooking back in the uk (get home from work, cook dinner quickly for us all, no making jams or getting to play with recipes) and this kitchen is bigger. cooking food we've grown ourselves is so satisfying :cattail:

what's pink, chilled, and sweet/tart at the same time - and better than ice cream on a hot, sticky afternoon?

pink grapefruit. naked. fresh from the refrigerator. so juicy, ya?

*happy sigh*

Two more hours and I’m done. Tonight may be the night to dine alfresco with the impending rain. I think I was a little over zealous at the butchers. I walked out of the with pork belly, short ribs, brats and dogs and steak for kabobs. I think I am most excited for the colorful carrots I found at the farmers market.

Yes, on skewers. I’ll make dill rice, bought various fun deserts, grapefruit soda for the munchkins and a sparkling rose for me.

I also bought my “adult juice boxes” because they had them in stock. They are always good to have on hand in the summer.

what what? i'll be back to read later. middle ground gaining or - please no - the far righters?

Good results for Farage's vanity project. Lib Dems and Greens doing well on the remain side.
