Their nuclear threat is not an active threat. Their buildup of islands has a lot to do with their hatred for Japan. U.S. China think tanks seem to think that China is confident in a retaliatory strike if hit first. The Suez Canal base is alarming I agree. They are trying to influence economies world wide. I just stated that Russia is the near threat with overwhelming nuclear capabilities. China is operating with a long term strategy for dominance but not in a war sense but economic. We are challenging the Chinese in every domain. Our trump card is our alliance with Japan and India. Should the Chinese get too aggressive I pretty sure Japan would not stand for it and the Chinese are very well aware of that. We are closer now than ever for a nuclear exchange mostly because Putin thinks he himself can survive, That scares the shit out of me. Just my humble opinion. A conventional conflict with either would rapidly progress into a nuclear exchange. China is closer to Russia and a war with either would land us in two wars and total destruction for all sides.

The way the usual suspects operate is to parse something of yours and then twist it out of context. Then they use that to deflect the thread into Ad Hom attacks because they KNOW that on the facts they lose the argument.

The saddest part is that they know they're doing it and that they've already lost the debate because the truth isn't on their side. So, even in their own heads it's an exercise in futility because the worst thing imaginable to them is happening anyway, no matter how much they try to deny and deflect from it.
