I think of this as a really dumb idea. If the Dems do start impeachment proceedings, it will help Trump and cost them seats in the House. I believe most people will think of the Dem. incumbents as being even bigger assholes than they were considered to be and will vote against then because of that.
There is no chance of impeachment going anywhere, and this should be so obvious as to keep anybody with an ounce of sense from pursuing it. It would be nothing but a waste of time and effort, which would be held against anybody who votes for it. That's in addition to repercussions farther down the road.
