Has anyone read "Summer With Morrison" by Dennis C. Jakob?

Got it today, just finished it. Of course, I got this to read about Jim's movie tastes, and this is when he was at UCLA Film School. Jim's professor was Josef von Sternberg, and again mentions "Ana-ta-Han" as being the greatest movie ever, but he mentions more. If anyone has a keyword they'd like me to search for them, I'd be happy to type it out.

I recommend this for those who want to read about Jim's college years, conversations, this is really good. Especially if you are looking for something without so much overlap.

I thought I read every book ever written about him.
I guess not.
Putting it on my list.

No One Here Gets Out Alive

Not sure who wrote it but I read it years ago and learned things about him and the band I’d never known before.

I read that Doors Unhinged Jim Morrison Goes on trial book by John Densmore. It was okay but at this point I think I know all I wanna know about the Doors. I also visited his house when I went to FSU. I remember being unimpressed but I was high too so there is that.

I saw a TV bio on the Doors’ first album. Great nuts and bolts stuff breaking down how the music was made, like the drum part on Light My Fire being a bossa nova beat, and Jim Morrison idolizing Sinatra

The best book about Morrison is John Densmore's Riders On The Storm.

"Friends Gathered Around" by Frank Lisciandro is a compilation of interview, and I think the latest one on Jim. I liked it very much, as I love interviews.

I've always been interested in newspapers, and collect them in every country I visit. I especially love looking back at newspapers from 50+ years ago to see instant reactions (as opposed to retrospect), as well as the other things besides the article itself (ads, news, etc). I spent a lot of time converting these, and it would be selfish not to share.

If you have any requests, a specific newspaper, date, etc., I'd be happy to try and find them.
