I did. I found myself trying to budget my time, and that's too strict a control for my comfort.

why did you leave? have you thought about it?

I did once for a while, another time just for 2 months. I didn't announce it or make a big emotional post. Sometimes this place can be full of shiiiii, well not the place, but the people. I also was just busy and was on my Jedi Forums, while reading the new Cannon StarWars Novels. In saying this, at times I enjoy it and have a couple cool people I chat with.

I'm just back after a couple of years.

I've left several times, once for more than a year. I never posted a "farewell" post, I just left. I'll probably leave or take a vacation soon.

We have something in common ( no big farewell post )

I guess backing away was gradual for me, and I wasn't overly established enough to warrant a farewell post. Also, it's an internet bulletin board....so who cares?

I take a Lit break every time I go away. This last break I also went the entire 17 weeks without accessing the internet just to prove that I could do it.

Yea, I just keep in contact with people who are close, but stay away from LIT during my exile. Sometimes this shit is addictive and real life has to take priority

I did for a while and I kind of regret that decision, I should have learned my lesson the first time. Oh well I'm back now enjoying the site once again.

You regret leaving or coming back ? Sorry, a bit confused

Life always takes priority. I dont think I have ever met someone that doesnt come and go. It is just relative

I wax and wane. I am not exactly intending to take a break or leave, just sometimes I am busy or not feeling it and entertaining myself elsewhere. I think the longest I was gone was 3 months with Halloween, Thanksgiving, kids birthday, Christmas, etc, then I reappeared in January. Otherwise, I sometimes disappear for a week or two here and there. I don't do goodbyes or anything, as again, it isn't like I plan on leaving, it is more that I get busy with life for a few days, then I finally get some me time and I spend it watching crap TV or shopping or crafting instead of here because that is what I wanted to do at that moment. Sometimes a few days leads into a bit longer.

I've been here since 2000 in one form or another. I've left for years at a time, and I'm pretty sure this is my longest stay, but I can tell it's coming to an end. Who knows for how long this time :)

Hey, you were just on a little break now.
Welcome back.

Once.

It was the hardest day of my life

Actually I have a couple times, for up to about three months. But I never really left since I lurked here and there over that time. No I never announced it, because I knew I wouldn't stay away. I think if I were to announce it, that would mean I was leaving for good. Because if I said it in writing, then I would be more apt to stick with it.

I’ve left multiple times. The first two times weren’t for any reason. I’d signed up, forgotten about it and then come back. I left for years at one point! So don’t consider myself as having been a member as long as my profile states I have. More recently I left for months twice - once when I was going through a hard time, and the second time was also for months, and that was due to a close friend who I was devoting all my free time to. (And for the record, am very happy I did, and would do again!)

I'm more likely to refine my boundaries and 'curate my experience' - post less frequently, unsub from threads, put people on iggy, change how i interact on threads and in private.

So i might be here technically, but it's less of me, less often.
